Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Pay Reviews

They said end of August early September.

Politics aside, has anyone actually had any comms or a review?

Managers had an update this week.
Review not started yet, but will start in early November by HR/Leadership
Budget will be given to managers 18th November ish
Any increases have to be in system by 1st December.

Managers are not expecting the budget to be large.
Managers not given enough time to do anything complicated, address individuals.

So expect leadership townhalls in December/New Year to blame managers for everything.

The above I'm quietly confident about, the bit below is just a prediction.
So come December when it becomes clear to even the most sycophantic cheer leader that leadership have strung us all along, and sc--wed us yet again, the anger will fester over Christmas, and the toxic effects will be felt in new year. So allowing for a typical months notice in February the last person will turn the lights off on DXC.

I saw that somebody asked Fynchy when she was going to announce a pay raise in a comment to her boasting about her paid for holiday to India on Linkedin . Strangely that comment / question has been removed. I wonder why.

Don't attend. They love hearing you beg. When you take your ball away and say it's ok you id--ts pay us to do nothing much these days so that's what we do. They might pay a bit more to get us back to do some real work. Currently it's all meetings, emails and endless document reviews.

Raul call in a few days. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say as no doubt that will be the worlds most popular question

@2tnh+1usm0jPe Typical Finchy, wonder who she has been trying to impress, now she has competition from the new younger fitter marketing chief o Cumhere. Maybe why she choose India for a tour. No doubt she saw some ceilings.

As you say world holidays all on our pay, why would a HR person need to goto India when there's HR already there.

There will not be a raise again. Finchy has posted on Linkedin that she enjoyed her little holiday in India on our wages.

The AI Training is a test of how many staff still just do what the company asks with no offer of any reward. If you all do these pointless tasks when told to, can you explain why there is any need to give a pay rise. There has to be a reward or consequence for these things. There's seemingly none at DXC either way. Oh yes they'll tell you there's definitely no pay rise if you don't do it. Well there probably wasn't one anyway. So when the good staff start being rewarded those who could but won't might actually start trying again.

Top tip for the AI training, don't skip sections of the tedious videos as it stops the section being marked as complete. Just set the video speed to 2x, put it on mute and it will auto play in the background until it gets to a quiz. The answer to every question in all 8 modules is always "AI is great but be careful", no need to listen to any of the videos.
That way you can complete the course and still do something more interesting with your time or even do some work, your call. It's DXC after all and no one cares any more.

Are the people who can't seem to do their job any more, really that incompetent? Did we just not notice because someone else just used to do it for them all this time? Would a pay rise sort it. I'm pretty sure setting achievable goals with guaranteed financial incentives would be a big help on achieving the things the company needs doing. But maybe it doesn't need anything as the only thing they seem to want is status reports and design documents. No mention of delivering a working product. That don't just happen because you've done the document and got the right shade of purple!!

@jrw+1usm0jPe I didn't do my AI training - no pay rise. I did real training for real work. No pay rise. It's a bully's game, whatever you do or don't do they'll find a reason to kick you. And the advise back then was ignore them. They'll find someone else soon enough.

No comms whatsoever regarding reviews, but at least six emails from three different managers to complete the AI training.
