Any locations available outside of the 5 states + Nashville? LA/ NYC, etc?

@pa exactly same situation here except 2 years in and doing well. Had to relocate to MI for my wife's medical residency and got not exception. Pretty d-mb policy IMO
So sorry to hear that. Yeah, I would say that is definately a tactic to get rid of people organically. It su-ks. Hope ypu come out much better in the long run.
@rg yes completely remote for the past 11 years.
For the one who quit after 11 years, were you remote?
- Two girls one can
*two cans and a string.
Omg. Caveman style like two strings and a can. If your string can’t stretch to your new state how will we talk?! Way to go HCSC to limit your talent pool to residents of 1/10th of the states.
@aa that is exactly what it means. I left HCSC in March after almost 11 years. They would not allow me to move outside the 5 plan states. I knew it was a policy but tried to see if there would be any exceptions. My upper mgmt advocated for me and ultimately told by the top dog in HR absolutely not. My tenure and performance did not matter one bit.
I’m going to leave this hot chicken stand in the rear view mirror and not look back, this place is the pitts. Tell Mo, Mo better treat employees mo better
@jh 100% correct.
The impression I got is that it was more if you wanted to move for personal reasons. Not so much those are the only places we will have offices.
Did I read it wrong?
If the Town Hall from the PTO reduction is any indication, the only answer will be the C Suite openly laughing at and mocking you.
Next Town Hall this should be brought up amd they should have to explain. Just saying.
Spot on! Thanks for alienating 1000's of ex-Cigna remote employees. We feel welcomed.
Seems like the ex-Cigna employees are finally catching on to what HCSC really wanted. They wanted Cigna's Medicare business but didn't want the extra baggage of Cigna employees.
Conveying employee- this is so odd. Why convey 3 offices in AL and then not allow people to relocate there? Also, one would think if their position is tied to a newly acquired market, like FL, they should be free to move around within their market.
It's going to really limit the careers of alot of excellent employees. Sad and makes me regret the inital excitement coming here.
@dy Except we bought a national presence when we purchased the Cigna employees. These people live all over. Now we expect them to have zero mobility?
@e5 On the Conveying Employees FAQ page.
Very sneaky.
I guess some of us from Cigna assumed with HCSC purchasing us to expand, they may actually expand into those markets. so they want customers on the east coast but no employees?
I missed an announcement - has this been announced?
So what are they going to do about the current former Cigna employees? When they bought Cigna MA knowing that we are in more than 5 states, they should expand presence, not limit it. Ridiculous and as a former Cigna employee it makes me think my days are numbered, so why try?
HCSC doesn’t operate in all states, and their current employees have always been limited by these types of requirements. Even full time HCSC telecommuters are limited by state and/within 250 miles of an office. It’s not a Cigna thing, they’re just level setting to HCSC. ‘Remote in the US’ has never been standard for HCSC.
@aa that’s what it seems like. It is very concerning for the former Cigna employees as there are a lot of remote workers spread all over the place. Seems like this is their way of getting rid of a bunch of us. Not allowing relocations and job postings are only in approved states so basically don’t move and or no career opportunities.
Also sending an email and not even having a meeting to discuss what this means for us and our future with HCSC.
No, there was a post earlier I saw that’s the only options…and you have to like Nashville Hot Chicken. What state are you potentially moving to?
I am a former Cigna employee and I am very disturbed by the latest addition to the FAQ stating the approved relocation areas. I am full time remote and always have been. Does this mean I can't move to another state unless it is one of the 5 or in Nashville? My husband has a very good potential job offer in a different state. Does this mean I lose my job if he takes it?
What's this referring to?
Did they rescind former cigna employees remote status? What’s the context for us legacy HCSC folks?
