Power Our Culture

By penalizing employees on nonsensical things, paying us less and less, and manage by fear from falsified ratings and reviews. We the lower tiered employees power our culture by doing the bare minimum.

Our silos run out businesses. We are powered by our silos

OUR CULTURE:
Everything we do depends on our people.
BNY strives to be a place where employees are proud to work and excited to grow their careers

Yes indeed. Everything senior management does depends on our people. And that means, stock price ponzi rises by lopping off heads, hiring cheap in India and destroying long time veteran’s careers to make expense cutting look like BNY somehow is driving revenue by new business and innovation: it isn’t!!!
Proud and excited is when you leave BNY for another job or retirement.

BNY is investing in technology.

When Trump I tax cuts/corporate welfare took effect in 2018, this was the EMC’s statement how BNY would use that economic boon. While PNC gave their employees $1,000, we got nuthin’ except drivel. 8 years later, nuthin’ has changed.

“Be more for our clients.”
Translation: Not doing this because only a handful of clients asked for it. Oh wait — a large client asked? Drop everything, reshuffle priorities, and push all other work back immediately to accommodate them.

Let’s circle back and really double-click on that generous 1.5% merit bump paired, of course, with the annual tradition of shrinking incentive pay. Truly inspiring stuff.

What is the ask? Let’s not go down the primrose path on this one. We have to put out some fires. Let’s circle back. AI, AI, AI, AI.

Eliminate third party client satisfaction surveys because it’s impossible for a manager to rate an employee as subpar when their client’s rate them as excellent.

Boldface lies, illogical reasoning, and downright asinine “feedback” you get during mid- and year-end reviews. Delivered, of course, by managers who either have no business managing anyone or are just dutifully carrying out orders from above to creatively “adjust” your rating.
