Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

rms perspective

rms here outside of north east region. if they try to force me into an RTM role with no severance option, im accepting and immediately going std after this launchs for “mental health” ….then will use that time to find another position elsewhere. but to b honest, already been doin that, applied to hundreds of positions. nothing back. we are all effed. SR/RMS are all equally effed. worst economy since 08/09.

yes, it means I take a sales position from a good rep, but at the same time it will teach them a lesson and will leave a territory unmanned and in the dump. serves these vipers right.

@z6 does the SA position still exist in the new structure?

@hm I know 40 -50 took package (smarts ones) RMS and SA's weren't offer severance. They su-kered in SA's by giving them a bump in pay week prior to severing all the reps- only reps were allowed to apply for new territories

@jc and don’t forget after the 400 cases they have to throw, back stock needs to be worked. I bet you’re a conscientious rep who doesn’t carry bs, I never did! It’s the 2 pallets of forced out product. Sounds reasonable huh?

Same here. My RMS will have a new hire train w a ftow for 4 days and then give the new hire 3 deliveries 400 cases on their own. Then here I am throwing 2 deliveries, writing 4 orders, doing dmi, pitcher app, then going behind the new hire and throwing the 250 cases they didn't work... It never ends

@hn you sound nothing like our RMS! Man, if we had an rms that did anything like what you described, life would be so good! Our DM taught the RMS how to be arrogant, rude, and how to push responsibility onto everyone else. To have a merchandiser go into a store to build a wow display, which the rms knew was being built, only to let me know at the end of the day “they had about two pallets leftover from the delivery, and a bunch of boxes with cardboard that they weren’t sure what it was”…can’t make that up! Didn’t know what a hutch was and was sent into an acct to build a wow display with 12 hutches. Somehow I’m suppose to help, after my day? Nope! That’s a training issue! Going behind merchandisers who can’t rotate. Not mine to fix. These are the issues we had!
Will be interesting, as the saying goes…..one bad apple can spoil a bunch! One weak link on a territory will ruin the team!

My end doesn't throw cases. He will just throw unreasonable cases on the ftow and reps

@df idk what your “worthless” rms is doing but im throwing cases pretty much every day of the week to help cover the staffing situation to help the reps out on selling, throwing cases to cover vacations, im also managing payroll, have labor budgets to manage, team wide objectives to hit, team wide DMI metrics, training merchandisers and have mandatory coaching sessions each weeke that we have to have, and also managing horrific merchandisers and their terrible schedules. there’s a lot more to this than you even realize, and I try to keep as much cr-p from flowing downhill to reps and merch as I possibly can. some rms could b bad, but i certainly don’t think I am. rtm role would likely mean reducing pay and even more work than im already doing.

@OP if you believe your resume experience as an RMS is going to impress any other company, you’re fooling yourself. Your trashy personality comes shinning through in your post. Quit crying and planning fraudulent std claims and quit. Your are a poor excuse for a human and you’re everything that is wrong with this country.

@dr and would you say you Also hate your rms? Are they just a miserable non helpful person as well?

Our rms also does nothing except write a schedule that takes 10 minutes.

@dm mine as well. An RMT is literally a sales representative and rms mixed in one. The only reason why it’s doable is because the rms does nothing now and the reps can just do their stupid onboarding and hiring. Literally this post is why the world is awful. This piece of cr-p who is used to doing nothing while having no problem sending ssrs to do endless hours of work. Now they’re going to collect short term avd fuvk the ssrs even more because they’ll have to pick up the slack. All while this RMS feels bad for themselves.

@df our rms was so useless, he’d have reps train new hires. When they asked me I said no! Not my job.

@OP can you describe your current duties . Like break it down by the days of the week. My RMS literally does nothing. Never even trains new hires, never in field and has reps deal with stores when serivce issues arise. You don’t want to be an RTM because you know you’ll have to actually work. Literally we all hate you… we know you do nothing and you’re mad because your useless role is being eliminated. This thread is for us reps and ssrs to hate on management that does nothing like you. Stop trying to play the sympathy card like you’re in the same boat as us. I hope they offer you no severance and no route for you to leach off…. Loser! Get some integrity.

Economy is garbage which is why you see reps, dm, RMS sticking around. Ftows quit constantly because finding a job paying similar to that is easy as any retail job pays 15-18/hr.
