Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

How much % salary increase do you get for a promotion on average?

Is there a rough estimate out there on Workday? Going from an entry level role to Senior title? Going from a Senior title to a 'Lead'?

@ja

Congrats!

Got a similar promotion, but ‘only’ a 10% salary increase and 115% VC

Totally dependent on your vertical.
Back office roles (IT, HR, Finance) are lowest around 5-10%
Middle office is like 20%
Front office 20-30+

Usually your base won’t jump much but you bonus target will be +10 or something

From my experience, don't expect a large % increase in salary (5-10%). There will be a large increase in VC potential for next year.

@ae

My manager informed me of my promotion at year end review. Some folks may not have heard yet - maybe depends on the manager, business group, etc

She and I will be meeting again end of week or first of next week to discuss my new title and salary.

@ac

Wait, they already told you?

I thought that wouldn't be until the end of the week once they figure out the exact bonus amount.

Makes me think I didn't get a promotion...

I’ll find out this week and report back. Going from Senior to Lead.

Congrats to you
