Engagement survey result really anonymous or not

Always a big push on completing these from the leadership, and was told it is anonymous, is it really or is there a way to trace back who did what?

@ja If your leaders watch your screen like a movie, your leaders got way too much time on their hands. And if that is truly the case, I would ask you to consider putting in the survey comment section to kindly remind the leader that the leader’s leader can also watch the leader’s screen like a movie

@OP - I hope the leaders who have posted on her stating it is an anonymous survey, however, my leader let our team know that they can basically view every single click we make, our screens continuously etc...like watching a movie haha. So imo, it's not anonymous but I still gave them my honest feed. Will they do anything to make things better? Nope, cause they never have, but at least it's on the record.

These surveys are a vanity project for senior leadership. I recall having results where one question related to inclusion and diversity. Just one person on the team answered in the negative. The team was essentially Hispanic with one African American. There were no guesses to be made about the comment. Essentially what that comment caused was several sessions of team meetings working on an engagement plan. This needed to be submitted, he needed to be reviewed, overall it was tiresome. Whats worse, the person who claimed there was a bias was relatively new to the team and was upset that THEY had not been promoted. There were no roles available, they did not apply for a role outside of our team, they did not speak up during meetings or even contribute to those meetings. Regardless we were expected to jump through those hoops to make some VP somewhere look competent to senior leadership. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Survey scores are 100% anonymous. If less than 5 people score, results roll up. Then it’s a mix. Comments have some risk if you give away things your leader knows about you. But even then, it’s a guess.

Leader here and we do get the survey results including the comments. Obviously there are no names on the survey but it isn't hard to determine who wrote wrote if you know your reports. Do not trust Humana, ever.

I’m not really sure what Humana would gain from breaking confidentiality and handing over raw data to leaders. Are all leaders good at actually using the data they do receive, and not overreacting? Of course not. And so it would be pure chaos if they got their hands on the raw data. The moment this was discovered and disclosed, it would completely erode any remaining trust we do have—and it would be a PR nightmare. I think many leaders WANT the survey to matter but aren’t always willing or able to make improvements.

@by Leaders keep doing what they do, telling associates they don't care is because they always, always get away. Favoritism is prevalent. HR and Senior leadership are always on their side. That's why Humana culture becomes so toxic!!! No one cares. Nothing will be done. This survey is a joke.

It does not matter whether you provide written feedback or not. Action is rarely, if ever, taken due to the results -- nothing changes and there is ZERO accountability, or leadership change, for leaders that continuously have low engagement scores.

Yes, they know exactly who does each survey. They send right before they hire in new C suite people while the people who actually do the work are getting cut right before Christmas. Once again.

There is no way to know who completes the surveys from a leader perspective if you don’t leave any comments. Stay away from comments and just answer the rated questions.

We can only see the responses. I would advise typing anything as the way you say things has its own fingerprint. Also, if you are on a very small team with a kiss azz, they will be able to assume who rated a certain way.

With that said, be honest! I dr-gs my leadership through the coals for their lack of leadership and frankly being non-existent. Tired of this DEI "Didn't Earn It" leadership... Or lack there of.

Your best bet is to not do them at all. They always come out with a survey to get happy, shiny feedback right before they RIF. Yes, your boss will know which survey is yours
