Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

What a Joke!

Gulfstream needs to weed out HR. You ever report something to HR just for nothing to happen? You think they will help but instead, they brush it off and just make excuses, or even try to turn it back on you.

They say they’re there for employees, but let’s be real. They work for the company. If you’re not in a leadership role, good luck getting them to take your concerns seriously. It’s messed up how they pick and choose what to deal with, usually based on who’s involved. Feels like employees don’t really have a voice when the people who are supposed to handle issues only care about covering things up.

@ja So who’s running the show? HR or Leader(less)ship?

Another leader bites the dust because of the head people partner. When will it stop?

Not sure what’s worse…HR not knowing what they’re doing, or just choosing to ignore stuff and turn a blind eye on purpose.

Either way, real issues are being brought up and nothing’s getting done. It feels like they either don’t care, don’t get it, or are just hoping it all goes away on its own.

People count on HR to actually handle things, not cover it up or pass the buck. When they don’t, it makes everything worse and leaves people feeling like speaking up was pointless.

As a managerial/leadership role employee, I assure you we hold HR in the same regard.
They (HR) make it impossible to remove employees that have behavioral, work related (or lack thereof) issues.
After several write ups….still employed and get new roles without consideration of past issues and poor reviews.

It begins with the head of the function, totally non employee focused, only cares about what she thinks is best for the company. Cost over people when the cuts start happening she will be the first to volunteer people or money. Can you say culture ki-ler.

HR has always been and always will be there to protect management and the company name. It's the same at all companies. They're like cops, anything you say or do will be used against you so it's best to be a ghost and never have them know your name.
