Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Site closure displacement question

So our site is getting closed next week. How does the displacement go down? Do they send you an invite the day prior to come onsite the next day and drop off your laptop and badge? Since there’s hundreds of us in the site curious how this will go down or is it just a virtual phone call and then we ship our laptops back? We’ve heard leadership will be onsite so just not sure what the protocol is.

@qe for sure I will be sticking around until I get displaced I want my 16 year severance payment, given its not prorated since it would be in the favor of the employee being kicked to the curb

Likely Salem Oregon site.

Wells Fargo wont be clear with you, because Wells Fargo doesn't care about you and at this point, doesn't like you.

All of these site closure notices are a way of telling you to find another job. Upper management is pi---d that you still linger. They wanted you gone long ago.

Stick around and trigger the CEO.

That is incorrect. On notice day which is the 28th, we will either receive a 60 day working notice or a 60 day nonworking notice. They will not notify you on the 28th that you will work for a few more days until 11/1.

@j8 11/01/25 is not a displacement date, only Tuesdays after payday to keep payroll simple. Therefore it would be 10/28/25. If your in the Barn and don't believe your time is approaching....I'd get prepared for Tuesday.

@gx The WARN notice filed with the state last December reads by 4th quarter.
12/31 minus 60 days... math!
If you cant read between the lines, I can't help you.

This building is the Barn in Hillsboro. Everyone in my group has either taken PTO or using sick time to get to next Tuesday.

We're in Estate Care center.

@d1 I turned down relo and am now praying its the 28th. Boss is making it miserable and as much as I like a paycheck, id rather be done with it at this point.

Normally, for those not working in office that day, will get a Teams meeting invite the day of. They will email your Severance information to your personal email. They will FedEx boxes & return labels for all equipment you have at home.

Typically big boss shows up, informs everyone physically present first, then attempts to make contact with those not physically present afterwards. For the remotes probably a short notice meeting invite, for the PTO types they'll usually try to call direct to make a same day contact.

They’ve let us all know we’re getting displaced by Q4 but that’s it. We likely won’t get notice until the day before. They don’t tell anybody the exact date of displacement in advance.

Anyone with experience please weigh in?
