Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

What happened to Home Office surveys?

I feel like they were once sent out every trimester, results were shared by department GPs, and leaders attempted accountability of results. Is there anything now to hold ELT and other leaders accountable? Or did the results get so ugly that they stopped allowing upward feedback? When is the last time survey results were shared?

@th I'm hoping it ends when the SEC has enough whistleblowers to send in the Feds to come knocking on her door.

@nt SM dictated less surveys with less substance. She knows shes a useless hack and is trying to quiet those that know how bad she is and how toxic of a culture shes ushered in. Worst, most evil, witch on ELT.

@ms Yes! This makes sense because results were cherry picked out of that survey and scores were horrible. This was all before august layoffs, fallout from ER was felt, and now the strict RTO changes. This company is trying to unalive itself. Good work penny!

@ms I was on the same Employee team analyzing survey results and making recommendations. I left EJ at the beginning of the year but quit participating in the Survey analysis mid year last year. I could see it was just a total waste of time. No one was looking at the results. No one cared. Why put effort into something no one wants to see?

I’ve held senior level roles at other companies prior to coming to Edward Jones. I have never seen a company’s culture change so rapidly and whose ability to deliver projects change so rapidly. Very sad!

I quit at the end of last year, but was previously on an employee led team that analyzed CES results and presented suggestions to higher ups for an action plan to improve scores. After the results of the CES in spring of 2025, our group was disbanded. To our team, it was very obvious that higher ups no longer cared about the results.

@j5 Dolores Umbridge is a character from Harry Potter with similar characteristics to that person, but not a real person.

@j3 Your comment will probably get deleted because you name dropped. But yeah, sounds like a textbook example of a narcisist who is on a power trip and is stupid as h#ll. Good luck !

A survey is sent the month of your work anniversary. To tell all about your experience at the firm and so on. It's so tone deaf and cringe.

@dn I've been in meetings with Dolores Umbridge (SM) and this exactly what she does. "I DONT CARE WHAT THE DATA SAYS OR THEY WANT WERE DOING X!!!". She is a straight demon.

I’ve literally never used the sugg box, and submitted my first one a week ago asking where the he11 the surveys went. I said it in a much more PC and “human centered” way, but seriously, you’re not going to let us give any sort of feedback after all the cr@p you put us through the last two years ?

@gc they are certainly not anonymous. My past leader told us they weren’t in our team meeting. Not sure she was supposed to, but she did. And then flat out said which of us hadn’t completed it. So we knew she wasn’t lying.

Was reimagined but check this board sometimes.

They described the surveys as confidential but not as anonymous. There never was anonymity at the firm level but your direct leader probably was in the dark on specifics.

Certain teams 100% knew who said what and used responses in various ways. One way was to stagger rollouts. Advisors who expressed burnout were put on the last waves of the Salesforce rollout. Those who complained about old tech or were considering changing jobs were put on the first waves to quickly appease them.

The anonymous surveys definitely aren't (and probably never were) anonymous. In the last one that came out, I went completely scorched earth in it. Nothing was ever said directly or indirectly to me, but comments made in group settings definitely made it clear that my first-line partner knew what my comments were but tried their hardest to not show their cards.

Probably should have ran my responses through Grok or ChatGPT at the time to make the tone more neutral and less like mine...

@e1 LOL! And then came back to set the whole playground on fire like the spoiled brats they are. Sad part is you know PP saw the numbers in the toilet and decided to throw a temper tantrum against us instead of trying to fix things like JW and other responsible MPs would have done. She is a total disgrace and laughing stock.

It was pretty telling when they added an “ELT Trust” section to the survey. It’s like they were hoping those questions would draw everyone’s ire to spare the rest of the survey.

Nope. We consistently responded that they su-k and their policies su-k too, so they got mad, scooped up their marbles, and pouted all the way home.

@dk haha! "Tell us how we are doing and what needs to improve or stay the same."

Associates: "Stop doing ABC because it is destroying these things, and keep doing XYZ because it helps with these things."

Leadership: "To he-l with these peasants, what nerve they have! We will now do away with XYZ to punish them further, and ramp up more ABC things because we're ELT, and we're fing mo--ns! No more surveys either!"

They got tired of being called bad leaders so they got rid of it. They will just tell you on amplify how wonderful everything is.

The surveys got haulted after we raked higher leadership over the coals. It was so bad they had to cherry pick the data to share with us. It was around that point (right before the august layoffs) that ELT decided "sc--w it" and went to war against us. The next survey will either be not anon like something a dictator would do, or will be hidden from us like the last one. These people in charge are socially akward mo--ns with personality disorders coupled with sociopath personalities. They do not do well with pushback or things not going their way.
