You can’t really tell if a layoff rumor is true unless the poster adds the word “confirmed.”

Before layoffs, this raffle lunch with CEO box would be overflowing. Now? Three lunch receipts in the box a month into the raffle started. Morale is dead.

@j2 What is the target number now?

We are at ~78k, down from ~131k - down 40%.
Target was 75k, which should be easily doable with natural attrition, which I see a lot of now.

My team is hiring, but have heard in high level program budget discussions that more CPM are coming, LDO likely end of Q2. Have to meet LBT’s target number.

OP, you are an inspiring visionary! Predicting more layoffs at Intel and stating the obvious that it is "not a good place to work"... who else could have seen this coming...

Intel lacks funding. It layoff people every quarter to get cash flow and use it to manipulate the quarterly earnings report - mainly to mislead the market as if it has less loss. For example, if it has 1B operational loss , then the loss will be hidden by the 1B from layoffs. Intel is using this trick to manipulate the market in the past 2 quarters at least.

OP could have posted this for the last 5 years and the next 5 years and it would be true. Anything meaningful to add OP?
