Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Which UK client will you lose next?

Urenco? MOD? BAE? I can bet it'll be one of those three at this rate. There's wolves at the door ready to bid and take the work from DXC already.

DXC has successfully allowed itself to get tied in knots by client paperwork and legacy processes to the point that we can no longer deliver anything useful. While the competition just say this is how it's going to be and get on with it. The net result is we're seen as slow and ineffective. We can only win on price, and when you've failed to move with the times and automate and streamline we will struggle to do that. DXC had it's chance and failed.

Won’t get any new logo. No one knows what DXC is. Looks like 6 separate companies with nothing joined up.

@1eml+1quNWmoH Cap already beat DXC for a major BAE bid a few years ago so it wouldn't surprise me. They could do it better too. TUPE all the good DXC staff over and shed the dead wood

They tend not to want to take it in house because as well as bodies suppliers like DXC etc provide finance.

Running and funding your own large IT operation is capital intensive along with all of the other issues around owning your own people.

Its definitely a case of picking the right strategy for your business.

Oh and as for Capita? Is that the Capita that got 0wned? I don't think they are on anyone's shortlist.

Maybe Cap tho.... its a pretty short list then... one supplier? They will crank the price through the roof...

Probably go in house with hired it staff permanently with adhoc, contractors hired for extra help during busy times

Makes sense rather than waste money on external outsourcing companies that don’t know how business operates or care

The list of possible suppliers is getting shorter though... Atos have imploded, nobody is signing fujitsu any time this week and I doubt any of those clients wants indians...
