Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Workforce Reductions Began in July - Earnings Call today

Not sure if you saw the earnings call today. Stinky loudly announced:

"Achieved benefits efficiencies and began workforce reductions in July" - These MOOrons are planning for massive layoffs - EG is in deep trouble: losing huge number of subs and significant loss compared to last year. I think the cuts will be significant and across the board.... sad day

hmmm, not standing up for AT&T or anything here but. . .

" if they cannot attract more subs when EVERYONE is home, how can they do that when people are not? "

Recall that quite a number of folks are home and not being paid. When your financial lifeline gets cut, you start culling non-essential services quickly. I would wager that not many folks are starting new subscriptions until they're back to work getting a steady pay check again.

Watch the video of Stankey in your email. Is that a panic button under his desk, or door lock release button? I thought you were so awesome that everybody loves you......at least all the comments on the screen say so.....b@tt ki$$ers.

Take a good look in the mirror Stank, all these subscriber losses didn't just happen over night.

Netflix and Amazon, don't seem to have problems. T Mobile doesn't seem to have any problems.

att brags about cutting people on earnings call never mind talking about growing the business but lets talk about the lives we destroyed and nothing about how innovation is going to drive customers to us.

what a joke stankey only knows how to cut and knows nothing about growth and innovation. his innovation is cutting people instead of trying to put them to good use and get customers.

sad - this will not end well for att and i would advise anybody that still has a job to look now while you are still employed there are so many great and better companies that are growing and getting customers and innovating. get out of the cesspool you won't regret it.

I want to comment on todays earnings report. IMHO it was a disaster. they lost 350k subs, they tried to put the lipstick on the pig routine by saying they are still connected. BS. if they cannot attract more subs when EVERYONE is home, how can they do that when people are not? my .02 on the subs. I am one of the casualties of this round. this week I dumped T for Tmobile (the service so far s—s, but I will have to s— it up for now as its much cheaper, hopefully with the merger with sprint T-mobile will fix that service issue) and today I dumped internet. I went to Comcast. Yes its more expensive but I get over 240 times the speed for only about 30-40 bucks per month more for the next two years. Next week I will dump Direct TV. between my Tmobile and DTV savings I am ahead already. I feel kinda bad for the remaining people, it will be brutal.

I agree - that's the only way these id–tts can justify their existence - keep laying off hard working employees.
