In august they did another wave on the Monday too. I would suspect that more are coming.
I took this job knowing I would end up getting RIFd. It took a year more than I was counting on. I was hoping to get it in year one. I profited off of their game!
they know about it months in advance. it's truly sadistic how they can talk to you face to face for weeks without letting you know. mcdonalds, i think, had it right- where they had given prior warning to given people the time to adjust and look for new opportunities
This place is horrible during the rif call it sounds like there reading from a script it's so sad how comfortable they have gotten at doing this. Managers and directors act like thet don't know well in advance when a rif is coming but I believe they do.
There are more coming in Dec on the 11th!

Sad to think about but, Gail sold all of her stock months ago and she is still in charge over this company that she clearly don’t back in any way shape or form!

RIF dates are communicated months in advance. Names are selected months in advance. The people rifed in oct weren't decided this week. The gross part is that your rif, unless it's a whole team, is known by many people.
The names for Jan have already been asked for.
In my mind, we're all on the list, it's just how deep. Picture an excel file with all our HR information and it's been rank ordered to then be separated by factors like dept, job title, location, remote status, etc. As an example, if someone would be the top rif on the team, but the company doesn't want to have to issue a warn notice, so to stay below threshold they choose the next name on the list. That's how they've been balancing out things like age and race. You're chess pieced multiple times which is why they need the names so soon.
My directors swore up and down that our department was safe for months. Today I got laid off and given a false reasoning for as to why I was chosen. Morgan and Morgan, here I come!

More RIFs are always coming with this place. The writings have been on the wall for months if not years I'm just mad I ignored the warnings and stayed. I got rif'd today and don't ask what department it doesn't matter no one here is safe so you better be prepared because it's just a matter of time.
