Starting to see signs that something big is shifting in the Data & AI org. There’s quiet “rebalancing” happening and leadership changes piling up fast:
– SVP of AI reportedly on the way out
– Two VPs gone back-to-back
– Several senior leaders in India leaving.
– A couple of senior leaders from Data & AI now have their resumes quietly circulating in the market. Communication has been vague, lots of reorg talk but no real details, and plenty of closed-door meetings. This feels less like normal org churn and more like a coordinated reset after some big bets.
Anyone else seeing similar signals or hearing about more changes coming

and what happened with infamous DPA organisation left after G-ayatri was kicked out of Pepsico?
@1dm at the end it was not Charles who brought the likes of G-yatri N. on board? Correct? So much wasted money, energy and talent under Athina´s S&T over past 4 years. Thats what constant bs without actual strategy leads to.
Charles wouldn’t sell the snake oil that AK is trying to sell to the board. He didn’t fit in the BS and lying cult
Charles did nothing for PepsiCo. And Athina took him out. Trying to fix her continuous mistakes
@e1 I wouldn't assume some Indian is taking over. Rumor is that toxic racist Seth C was seen in our office HQ. What if he is coming back again to ruin our lives. Lets worry about Seth and how we should stop him from joining pepsico again. He will totally ruin everyones lives.
@j0 all of S&T is that perfect case study with queen Athina at the very top profiting from that setup and her ex Accenture minions ! In any well functioning company a head of strategy unit with such a poor record would have been let go long time ago! Appointing the likes of V-ikram, or G-ayatri N., wasting money with vanity projects that DPA was famous for, constant disregard of Pepsico code of conduct... one could go on and on! and the end result is persistent loss of market share, toxic work culture, loss of good talent - think about it what great talent would actually want to join Pepsico today?
@hn Data & AI is the perfect case study. It’s basically a closed lobby of friends-with-benefits.
Different language, same pattern — if you’re “one of us,” doors open fast.
Funny part? The one outsider who came in as SVP barely lasted a year.
Call it culture. Call it coincidence. Or call it what it looks like.
@hn - how do you know this?
@gr SnT overhaul is needed. There is too much corruption at the top layers. Friends companies being given contracts. So much for ethics a d bribery
@g6 spot on! For the investments made in “AI”, it seems like there’s more waste than benefit. Due to a complicated structure and role ambiguity, nobody is able to take responsibility/accountability on projects, simply because nobody understands the scope of their role. Massive S&T overhaul needed, or else more wasted projects will occur (talk about “productivity”)
For years S&T has pushed products backed by fraudulent or misleading data. Leadership has little motivation to speak up because they are rewarded with nearly million dollar bonuses for running large teams, despite lacking the technical expertise to understand what is being shipped. The senior leadership rotation program makes this worse by rewarding short term thinking. Leaders deliver half baked products with questionable results, collect bonuses or promotions, and move on. The next leader takes months to realize the product is ineffective, then rushes out another half baked solution to chase incentives, leaving the organization worse off each time. This cycle has continued unchecked for years.
Didn’t Charles joined just an year back, and it seems Magesh got him in.
Why does no one see that athina is a total fraud? She’s an incredibly mean and inept leader. How tf did she become CEO of latam? She can’t speak Spanish
I’ve been hiding out mid six figures for 15 years. Keep getting promotions and raises and I work about 3 hours a period. Have no stress and decompress is my saying.
Charles is leaving and that's good news. Bet they will make a random indian VP triple hat to achieve nothing.
Gosh, in R&D, so many people calling things AI even if they are not really AI.
Wow, big shock here. AI leadership is bailing. Who would have guessed that throwing AI at every problem, wi--y-nilly, would lead to chaos?
AI for the sake of AI seems to be the motto here. Who cares if it makes sense or not? Business leaders are like, "YOLO, let's throw some AI at it and hope it sticks!"
Who needs common sense when you can be "AI-first"? We're so focused on being 'AI-first', we've made common sense an endangered species
There were people who suddenly shifted to be AI product managers with no product management experience or AI experience. We make chips and soda. This isn't surprising.
This is what happens when the topmost leader has neither Strategy nor Transformation experience. The org runs on BS and lies
They've all been replaced by AI. Mission accomplished! 😂
Too many teams brought on and merged quickly into Data and AI with no clear vision or alignment. Everyone working against each other with their own goals/agenda instead of working towards a unified and collaborative way to support the Company and the Organization.
