Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

The deafening silence from above!

Has everyone noticed that oleeee Tipsy has kind of disappeared as of late? Nothing.. nada.. zip... zilch. Where are you at? Spending that $20 million dollar bonus? With your secretary? Where is the communication to our agents/employees about the business realities the organization is facing? Where is the apology for the horrible working conditions and all the mandatory overtime? People leaving and retiring in mass? What is your plan? Why hasn't it been communicated? Don't you practice what you preach with all the classes you make leadership take? Where is the motivation and encouragement? Again as shown over the last 10 years, just a useless bean counter that could care less about the employees or the customers...just the bottom line! Worthless POS! Silence..means your happy and the more the misery index goes up, the better job you think you are doing! Oh..I forget PS is trying to attract and retain talent!!! LOL! Complete joke!

Interesting. I thought you had to be 65 to get a booster shot.

Heard they got an earful in California from leading agents on lack of trust in technology delivery.

I will speak to you at times and places of my choosing. No amount of whining and self pity on your part will change my thought process. I rescued this corporation from my doddering predecessor with his indecisiveness and speech impediment. You should be building statues of me instead of complaining all the time.

I had a very enjoyable conversation with Michael at Chairman’s Circle. Perhaps the OP expects him to show up in his basement?

We get info and announcements via email and the homepage all the time. What are you whining about?
We pretty well know what the big picture, long term plan is. The details are filled in as they can be, and are subject to adjustment as needed.
I know I don’t have my final “ to do list” complete for the next five years. How could State Farm have theirs?

They have based their measurement of how you view them in profitability and growth without understanding how that transfers to the workforce when cost reductions is 1st of the 3. The last 24 months of "look how profitable we are" when the reality is SF is a mutual company and that matters very little makes little sense as no one takes a job in insurance to get rich. After a year of "look how profitable we are" on the backs of people who manage people recover from disaster employees are leaving for other opportunities. You will hear nothing till Christmas. Then it will be all about how good YOUR bonus is going to be on that 10% when the people who don't let you take vacation, force you into OT, or couldn't do your job with a g-n to their head get 30%. Leadership.

Mandatory overtime hours increasing, metrics, unreasonable/demanding/rude customers, poor management focused on reports they don’t even know how to interpret, overworked due to understaffing going on for years (which helped Tippitoetuck to get his 20 million bonus)…. Ahhh but we have to be heroes because we have to help our customers.
What about the employees? Did they ever heard that if your employees are taken care of your customers will be satisfied? Ohhh wait a minute… a bean counter does not know a thing about Human Resources.
Well, humans burn out… hard reality for those above when they realize there is no more people to hire because you already hired and fired or pushed away everyone in that cheap town you decided to build those glorious hubs. Those that have not yet have the pleasure to join the farm; for sure already have heard how undervalued employees are.

If you pay what you owe, why did you pay a penny if you had no liability? Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The mutual company netted over 2 billion in 2020…..while the company didnt hire any newbies while alot of folks either quit or retired….and they werent replaced…now here in 2021 policy growth reached 1 million new policies by may….And..the workforce is asked to work overtime because of miss grossed management at the senior level….this is not sustainable…..there are not enough employees in any dept here to do the job adequately….and remember its for the customer…..bs…..run away train with no end in site…….

I am sorry for you but your comments are just ignorant. The case was 3 years ago and was settled out of court. Racketeering was alleged but never found or proven. Over 90% of ALL lawsuits are settled out of court and certainly don’t prove guilt. Another conspiracy wack a doodle.

@hdy+1dDSPSuI The racketeering was to litigate the billion dollar case. 1 billion dollar case, 8 billion dollar case, all getting cash before the trials.

You’d be naive to not understand money is getting laundered at the top, while employees spill themselves over the edge in credit living in cities they can’t afford.

I’m willing to bet my whole bonus this year, that with inflation my raise, and my bonus would result in me losing money or buying power.

Which is why you are a peon with no authority and destined to always work for the man.. While 250 million is a large number it literally equates to 4 hours of revenue for SF on any given day. It was a no brainer from a settlement standpoint.

Anyone at VP level or above does not care, you are just a number to them, i think things will get worst much worst before there is any hint of anything getting better, and they will only make changes if they are forced to not voluntarily since all they care is about those nice profits they gotten the past 2 years
