Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Body Count?

Marketing and ANI (ATSC) took a hit. Claims and Legal took a hit (mostly mid leadership). Who else?

One of the posts below predicted this to the month earlier this summer. It also predicts another round in Q1 2024. Any intel on that?

Also - anyone find it odd that the layoffs last year were announced far in advance (plus all the personality tests, etc.), yet this round was top secret?

There are more rounds planned for Q1, much smaller but there are cuts coming. How many were aware of the cuts they did in Q3? That was fairly quite.

@hdq+1p7LTOkM Listed all of the “fringe” departments. Complete corporate waste

"Most of the cuts were to fringe departments that add nothing but expense to the system. I feel bad for those folks who lost their jobs but take an honest and objective look at things and it all makes sense."

A not so brilliant attempt to shill for the masters but an 'honest and objective' look at things will show this to be untrue.

Boot licking for those with no soul is like petting the wolf in the hopes that he'll eat you last.

can’t let you know what departments will be affected otherwise people will jump ship early and won’t have enough people to do the work before ready to transition.

There are already planned cuts for Quarter 1.

The TSO (Life & retirement) is expecting cuts in Q1. Leadership has promised no cuts this calendar year, but with more portions of our policies moving to Everlake for servicing the downsizing is inevitable.

Departments that were affected (there could be more): HR, ERRM, Enterprise Ops, Product Operations, Real Estate/Facilities, Ivantage, Management Consulting Services, IT, Procurement

I doubt there is another round inQ1. The whole point is getting expenses off the books by year end so they can try to get the combined ratio down for Q1 earnings. They wouldn't keep anyone on the books for another quarter of expense impact if they knew they were going to let them go a few months from now.
