Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

RIF

Many got RIF notice today. I hope you land in a better place. It’s scary watching people with same job title disappear but nothing worse than experiencing it.

@hb No. There were more than just telecommuters that got RIF.

@jz I would be surprised if RMO IA does not restructure and RIF people in the near future. I am waiting for Issues Exection to see changes too. Highly paid people on Issues Execution not doing a lot of value add. Risk Advisors that are competent do all the work Issues Execution does.

The Fin Crimes oldheads leadership need to be RIF next! Maybe that’s why they can’t RIF RMO IA yet. Rick’s picks have too many long tailed issues they continue to sc--w up

@hc I wonder why no one was RIF from
RMO Issues Assurance too. There is a couple of dead weights there. I would have thought they would have used this to get rid of them.

TAS RIF’ed a few Senior Audit Managers on the CSBB audit team and the Risk Audit team. There were probably more but I do not interact with the other teams.

@e0 how many are two handfuls? I can’t quite figure that math out.

Am I vested in the pension? Yep.
Do I get a decent severance package if I’m RIFed? Also yep.

So honestly… PLEASE RIF ME. It would be the first employee-friendly decision this place has made since MOE. Working here su-ks, and judging by literally every conversation around me, that’s not exactly a unique opinion.

ECCO Issues Assurance lost two handfuls of teammates. There were Risk Advisors for models that were affected.
