@1fa, unfortunately, the whole company is nerfed. We’re on the fast track to being majority owned by private equity. Employees will lose, customers will lose, everyone will lose except BX Tyranny, Goering (Wade), and the rest of our deep state WTO overlords.
@1dy all we have is rumors at this point because we aren't being told anything and there is a big discount between the top and the workers.
All these rumors are turning out to be just that. FE is not being sold or broken up. There would’ve been Wall Street speculation by now. Average Joe employee knows nothing, other than rumors. And so many “know” someone who is in the “know” is ridiculous.
I believe for the most part there will be nothing major happening. Look at the financials, they are moving favorably.
People who come up with these ridiculous speculative rumors are generally those nobody even pays attention too and they are very unhappy with their job (and most always a sub par employees).
@hb Well, this can't possibly end poorly for all involved.
None of these major utility companies will buy out any FE company. They are all in just as much debt if not more than FE is and don't have enough cash on hand to buy anything. On top of that you have state regulators you have to get past. What I think you will see is private equity continuing to buy a portion of the operating companies with FE maintaining operations, maintenance etc.
