What’s happening in ANZ? Slack count in ANZ-employees-all has dropped by around 8% in the last 4 weeks, but nobody seems to have confirmed what is happening? Look strange compared to the “big bang” layoffs elsewhere

What does severance/redundancy look like in Australia?
What's happening? Layoffs are ongoing in Australia. I was laid off 2 weeks ago, others laid off last week. Some laid off on March 31. Its just a slow bleeding of employees. Maybe HR are hoping it will go unnoticed.
Wake up, RIFs are going to get a whole lot worse for the "down under" employees. There is NO safety net at Oracle.
Worked with a bunch of Oracle "ANZs" years ago, and they're some of the least productive employees in the company. They spend each day doing nothing more than socializing and polishing already-polished PPTs. Larry would fire them all if he knew about it.
What kind of confirmation are you expecting? If the company can do layoffs quietly that is much more favorable for them. If the numbers are down 8% either people are leaving on their own way above usual attrition rates or layoffs are happening. Now you have as much information as anyone else on what is happening and if their job is safe.
