Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell Ireland is about to shrink dramatically

You can thank Trump for this one - more jobs are moving back to the US. Expect big changes in 2026

I work in Ireland and my team members dislike working with me. Maybe its a sign to look out for other jobs outside Dell.

As much as I don’t like Trump, this is a Dell thing. Corporations like Dell will save every penny they can.

Not to mention, there aren’t a lot of new roles here in the US. You can be mad at our country all you want, and in certain occasions, you may be correct. But Dell is shrinking operations even here in the US. Our president give a flying f**k about Dell.

@ha when? BTW, Dublin office hosts DFS, aka known as "Dell Bank", holding Irish Banking License.

Irish plants already hit over the last 2 years. APJ Support already covers EMEA time zone until AMER timezone starts !

Limerick office will be first to close followed by Dublin. (Government grants cannot keep saving them). Cork (Ovens) is too big to be initially fully impacted.

Temporary ? ... only another 3.5 years of Trump ... IF democrats get back in ?? The damage will be irrepairable in 12 months.

It's not TDS, it's just facts and the fallout of his tariff policies for Ireland. Starting back in Feb, it was called out by economic experts that the tariffs would increase costs for multinational companies operating in Ireland and would push those companies to move those jobs out of Ireland.

Not going to happen. Ireland a has business tax rate of 12.5% compared to the US 21%.

You're delusional if you think the Trump effect is anything but temporary. As soon as he dies then its full steam ahead for globalisation.
