Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Gas price relief?

With gas prices rising at an astronomical rate, I've heard rumors that T is considering lowering the in-office average for the summer months to 2 days a week. Obviously this would be amazing for all of the employees who are suffering with increased cost of living across the board. Is there any truth to this?

These aren't even TIAA trolls. "Contracts"? No one has a contract here.

And wishing possible death on the EC? High class!

I heard we were going back to full time remote because of that boat with hantavirus and stuff. You know social distancing, masks, the whole nine yards.

Why would TIAA be responsible for helping with that? You applied and got a job and TIAA gives you a paycheck in return for you doing it. In their office. As was stated in the contract you signed to accept the job. It’s a job.. it’s not your mama. You need to adult and figure it out. Or quit - which would be ideal because you sound like a waste.

It’s obvious OP and others are trolling here. In 20 years not even the great RF tried to help us out when gas prices skyrocketed.

Also yeah i agree with the last post … when folks who make some of the lowest salaries here are going in 5 days and able to make it in with these prices you should be able to make it in 3 measly days.

Would that include the Wealth AAs who have to go 5 days? Even though it’s one of the lower paid roles in the company? Right. NO.

This sounds like an excellent feedback topic for the new engagement survey that was launched today!

She could certainly use the positive press. Maybe set a precedent for other firms on how to put your hard working employees first through empathy. I bet productivity would also see positive effects.

I don't know if it's true, but it would go a long way with employee morale.
