Renu award

It’s truly amazing that Renu got recognition for an award considering the job she’s done at both VMware and OMNISSA. I can tell you firsthand working with your is full of hyperbole and and being naive. She’s been a detriment to OMNISSA and is has a big hand in its demise.

"How Q4 ends will probably be a major turning point."

Does anyone at Omnissa doubt the Q4 outcome? There's nothing already in motion that might change our ongoing revenue decline. Also, there's nothing meaningful in development. Our sales and marketing results may have hit rock bottom. Time will tell.

@13z KKR won’t replace a VP. They’ll put pressure on Shankar to institute changes wherever problems exist. They will go for the head of the snake, which goes back to whether Shankar is the right leader for the organization.

@10v McGrath and his direct reports have a myopic perspective on the competition, after many years at VMware and a total lack of understanding about how customer needs have evolved. He is arrogant and detached from the market reality. KKR must replace him.

@gy Jeff McGrath is the worst exec I’ve ever worked with. His talk track hasn’t changed in 8 years and all he does is bash the competition. I’ve personally had a customer ask him to stop bashing and tell they why WKS1. It was embarrassing.

@e4 if he hasn’t made any big changes or can’t then the next big change KKR will insist on is replacing him. CEOs usually get about two years to show they can lead. If things continue to struggle KKR will find a new leader which could improve some things but also could be destabilizing. How Q4 ends will probably be a major turning point.

McGrath is equally unqualified to reboot Omnissa's product marketing transition. He clings to the same installed-base harvesting tactics that failed to deliver VMware EUC growth results. Renu relies on him. So it's inevitable that our sales will continue to decline.

People in omnissa get rewarded for being in the clique and loyalty to the clique narrative. Your skills and talent are irrelevant. Shame the job market is frozen ATM.

Unfortunately Shankar has mostly a team of Nincompoop folks who will be responsible for his downfall. The sooner he realises this, the better it is for overall health of the company. He got rid of some of the competent folks in the company such as Rob Ruelas and Shawn Bass.
Shawn is now the CEO of entire Citrix VDI. Its a shame the Shankar couldnt keep his nepotism babies away.
