Bank AML was left with weed smoking je-k management sleeping with employees. And leadership that pushed analysts out with constructive dismissal. I would never want to see the inside of that building. HR has no clue about the chaos teh leadership causes. HR is stupid, stupid, stupid. HR must be , oh stupid. AML leads go smoke your weed.

@fh "getting in line with industry standards" is another way of saying we want to do the least amount we can get by with for our team

Oh, this will be GOOD. I was on medical leave for a couple months in 2025 and returned in January to a PIP... No substantive reason given. No documentation provided outside the kool-aid-drinking talking points. Some assertions were complete fabrications that I could prove with...YOU GUESSED IT...documentation. Several items mentioned directly tied to a previously provided accommodation request.
Bonus? About HALF of what my NET per check is...and that's before taxes. I don't think I got any merit increase...or at least it wasn't mentioned. So I knew USAA was slippery before, I just didn't realize how dirty they played and how blatantly they disregard employment law. The reason they can get away with this is arbitration. I did it to myself by signing it. Managers know, all they have to do is ignore an accommodation request because if they ignore it, they are held completely unaccountable.
This company disgusts me.

@OP How long do you think you'll be receiving this type of bonus in the future? AI taking over jobs with automation. Enjoy the bonus cause only AI is going to see it going forward. Human jobs will decline as data centers go online.

@fb yes and no, at least here in San Antonio … yes USAA pays non member contact employees decently well compared to other banks in the city. However, benefits wise, USAA is now on par with the industry, at one point yes, USAA had world class benefits, that all changed when Wayne started to surround himself with failed executives from other institutions (BofA, WF), at the August 2021 employee meeting, a VP in HR said out loud “we over invested in our employees all these years, and now need to get in line with industry standards.”

Makes me wish I never left USAA….the grass is not greener on the other side. USAA pays well and has top notch benefits. I left for a higher role because I was remote and stuck in my role.

@as talking about salary is not illegal, it’s actually illegal for USAA (or any employer) to punish employees for discussing their pay.

Was it worth it? I see several of you posting from Bank. We know you've had chaos and reorg, after reorg, and job eliminations along the way - meaning more work that you were forced to take on.

If you are above a 100% bonus, would you rather have that extra money OR 5 hours / week of your life back from the past year?

@as there is nothing illegal about discussing pay

How do we find out what our bonus amount is if we were severed..? What paycheck period will it show up in? Is there a document or contact that explains how it was calculatd?

If you were separated you are f’ed. No transparency in calculation. Performance not a factor in termination but yet if getting a bonus it’s 1/3 of past bonus comp.

Not A7, but many are getting over 100% bonus modifier. THERE are a few threads in the USAA related social media channels where people are posting their bonus and raise information.
