If a technology company like ATT isn't developing its own software, why can't the other roles be out source and rebadfe like this too? Or is that what at the COR store employees have been freaking out about?

Oh no, this is not good. IBM US SMEs (ex ATT Employees) were holding these Apps afloat and hand holding IBM offshore Dev Teams.

How despicable it is to rebadge people to ScamDocs. T doesn’t have to pay severance and ScamDocs will lay you off within few months, also w/o severance. If you refuse to rebadge you are out of luck since you won’t even qualify for unemployment. Get lost in he-l Stankey and Legg.
At least your decades of experience involve critical industry skills in demand in the marketplace. You can land a new job tomorrow!

Some of these L-T systems date back to pre-divestiture. Not exactly the newest technology. I thought these Indians are young, and know the latest technology, not the legacy stuff like COBOL, ASSEMBLER, etc.
