Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Nearly July any news yet on Pay

If its appraisals, fraud training, procedures, management layers, two halls, dxc wins you get endless emails.

When its pay you dont hear anything even as the deadline has come, surely it cant take 4 months after appraisals close to come up with a pay rise figure, the formula cant be that complex. Hopefully middle management aren't siphoning it off for themselves and mates.

Mike needs to get his communications act together, if staff are important then you need to tell them what they will get, not keep it hidden and secret as it's the most important thing to staff.

Middle management pull your finger out and do something useful, send a meaningful email for once with the pay rise figure asap.

Outside the dxc management bubble wages are rising.

McDonald's said last week that it was boosting wages for the 36,500 hourly workers at company-owned stores by 10%, and Chipotle announced it will raise wages to an average of $15 an hour by the end of June. Bank of America said it would raise minimum wages for its hourly workers to $25 an hour, from the current $20, by 2025.

Sports equipment company Under Armour also announced it would boost the minimum hourly wage for its retail and distribution workers to $15 from $10.

"It's some of the strongest wage growth we've seen in a quarter century," said Mark Zandi, Moody's Analytics chief economist. He said the 3% wage growth for private workers in the first quarter was the strongest since the 1990s and productivity has picked up at the same time.

"All the anecdotes we were getting in the last few months would suggest it's continuing," he said.

You are still with DXC waiting for salary increase?
The best way to get one is to leave.

@"Hahah yeah right not at DXC technology. You want those kind of raises go elsewhere."

Maybe the attrition rate will move from 19% to 25%+ and there's no way you can maintain stability or "silent running" when you can't keep your good employees.

There's only so much you can sc--w out of people.

Looks like the market out there is booming, 3% seems very low. Think M2 will need to up the rates see below.

Robert Walters CFO, Alan Bannatyne, said it is "very common now seeing 30% salary uplifts" and that some junior software developers are managing to secure close to 100% pay increases in new roles.

Bannatyne added that some SMEs are hiring "more like [they were in] 2005 or 2006".

"We are seeing signs of a pretty strong recovery in confidence in both candidates and clients," Walters said. "It is reflecting in increased wages, just because of supply and demand, and I would expect that to be a trend as well.

"We are seeing a skills shortage-driven, wage inflation market, and we haven't seen that for a while."

1% to 3% for some 1 and 2 rated, depending on location, previous reviews, time served, role importance etc. they have an algorithm they are using.

@gvji+1bsu23Pt so are you saying 1% to 3% for people rated 1, and under 1% for people rated 2 and 3?

It’s been decided, management waiting on the green light from other management to communicate. 1 - 3% for top rated depending on algorithm. Be happy with your peanuts or leave right M2?

Employees are responsible for managing their own careers.

Rotations and promotions remain discretionary and subject to availability, business needs and individual situations.

Development plan information provided by the employee to DXC Technology is "encouraged but voluntary"
; DXC Technology management and HR

may use the development plan information in the context of other talent processes and decisions such as leadership development programs,
succession plans (WFR)
, career and talent moves.

I was told by my manager that he was allocated a budget and that he had made recommendations for how to split it but was waiting for someone to approve/adjust that.

Sometime "in the next couple of weeks"

He also said don't expect much even though I am top rated....

Mind you at this stage "not much" is an improvement over zero for 8 years...

It won't make me super happy but...

Anybody heard anything? We are a third a way through July and still very silent, you would think by now you would have at least an email to say what % raise is being awarded.

Please update if you have heard any update.

How can 1-3% of peanuts compare with $13million in pay and shares.

1% isn't even inflation,

yes we will all be happy with a 1% of $13m.

I can't see many development goals bieng added if we're looking at 1-3%

People expecting anything over 3% are in dreamland with DXC. I don't think morale can get much lower in my department but I have also heard 1-3% for the ones who actually get a pay rise.

This is the last chance, if the raises aren't Forth coming shortly them the end is near.

Why would you add goals for pay cuts every year, would be like scoring an own goal or shooting yourself in the foot.

The management can reward themselves handsomely, there's no shortage of funds for them.

1bsu23Pt - putting goals of any kind will put you above rest of colleagues and unadvisable, in my case as mine was used to turf me out of the company.

Just Ctrl C+V the ones provided by DXC and leave any personal goals out of the appraisal form along with doing bear minimum for this shower - don't do any evening or weekend work or anything above your contracted hours.

Just sit back, do little as possible and collect your paycheck

If and when I get a pay increase to match and beat the cost of living, then and only then will I establish 3-5 personal goals. Otherwise F-ck them!

To deliver excellence for our customers and our colleagues, we are asking you to establish 3-5 goals for this fiscal year by July 30. Goal Setting is your opportunity to align on how you can contribute to our overall business performance and build a foundation for meaningful performance development discussions with your manager throughout the year. In an effort to bring our new values to life, there is now a “Values” goal in Workday for this fiscal year.

The only thing you'll get is more junk emails and no news on pay.

Be sure to get emails on cuts, savings, and publicity, but nothing on raises.

If the higher management were serious they would be happy to communicate on pay as it would be an positive achievement, alternatively "silence could mean its golden" and there's going to be 10% plus raises.

Let's hope so, otherwise the titanic may just sink this time, as people are reaching their limits after delivering through covid other companies have been rewarding their staff.

1 to 3% is a fu-king joke after 7+ years Cumulative rate of inflation between 2014 and 2021 was 13.7% . So I would still be getting paid less than I was when I get my last increase

I’ve heard you might get 1-3% if you’re one of the lucky ones. I’m sure appraisals were downgraded to justify this. The salary bands are a complete joke after the re-org. I can only see my particular department going one way and that is WFR.

See https://www1.salary.com/DXC-TECHNOLOGY-CO-Executive-Salaries.html Salvino became DXC Technology's President and Chief Executive Officer. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Salvino's new annualized base salary is $1,250,000. His target bonus will be 200% of his base salary, and LTIP target percentage is 800%

But no money for the rank and file, BULL Sh*t

DXC doesn’t do raises. They also downgrade appraisal results to ensure you don’t think you should get a raise.

Want more money? Leave, that’s the only way you’ll get a raise.

Blow me more emails about appraisals objective dates, contract wins, and town halls dates.

Unfortunately no has the ball locks to give accurate dates to say when will be told what pay raise is bieng awarded.

Sad deluded management style which takes gives no importance to staff needs.

why do you communicate on everything except pay?

Because what little they plan on handing out they want to bury in q2, not the previous fiscal year end, not q1, but middle of q2, which is August ie dog days of summer.

"Those individuals, who were selected for a raise, have already received it. There will be no further information sent out."

That better not be the case in the America's , if it is then I am going to cut my work down to almost nothing. Why work harder than people who are rated 3 or 4, as the pay increase is the same

I think they are revising them upwards after the Fed said on Friday that the recovery is in full flight and DXC are now scared of a mass exodus as wage inflation is about to fly upwards across.
