Seems like many software engineering contractors are getting notice for 2/23. Any background on what this is about?

not tomorrow, from what contractors on this page has said, they were given notice for 2/29.

i see a list of around 79 resources that have a termination date of 2/29. not sure if these contracts just haven't been renewed yet.
following up on this, all the resources that currently show date of termination as 2/29 are just contractors as of now. Full time employees don't have dates until they actually get terminated. Whether or not the 2/29 contractors are actual layoffs or contracts not being renewed yet is unknown.

Myself and one other I know of are definitely American recruiting companies.

fwiw, this is the resource list where we do our timesheet clock in/clock out. I checked the list looking at ex-employees with previous layoff dates as date of termination and they werent as heavy as what people stated so I'm not sure this is the full list of employees. Might just be for tech. If anyone in other departments can chime in on where they do timesheets.

2/23 is the date everyone seems to be getting. No severance for contractos.
