Judging by posts here, there'll be plenty of those who chose not to vaccinate who'll be shown the door. That means that the rest of us should be safe for the foreseeable future, even if the quarterly results are not that good. The only way I can see more layoffs soon is if a lot of people change their minds and get vaccinated at the last moment. We'll see if it happens.

There’s no one to lay off. They do layoffs and work won’t get done. Sounds like they are going to sell off real estate to buy some time and $. That’s a short-term fix. What’s next?
Well, we are in week 4 of February, last year the layoffs where during week 2.
Hoping that is a sign that there are no plans for Q1 or Q2 mass layoffs.

I for one am happy with my manager, paycheck, and job responsibilities. I will also be getting my bonus and a raise (albeit not as much as I would like but that is for another post)
And I also have my vaccine and booster. Not because Centene wanted me to, but because I WANTED TO.

Sad, that so many people allowed a corporation/administration to coerce them into putting unnecessary chemicals in your body in order to keep their livelihoods. Some states have made it illegal to fire people based on vax status and employees can sue to the hill. Centene knows which states do or don't have this legislation, so I'm sure they will fire unvaccinated from states that do not have that as a law, and will have to fire vaccinated to make up on the numbers they could fire due to being unvaccinated. You may not be safe.
And let's not forget you can still catch this virus that has a 99.997% survival rate anyone 50 and younger, and spread it even vaccinated. So if you think only working with other vaccinated people will keep you "safe" you are wrong on that as well.
I took the termination. Too sketchy that a corporation forcing me to get a vaccine when I can work remotely with no issue. At least I can get unemployment. I was denied religious exemption while others were approved for it. I was sick of lies anyway. This company is a joke. All lies all the time.
Dear Centene, We have a current employee who is sharing outrage against Centene badge polocy on social media.

Bioscreening and offering different rates to the healthy as opposed to the "unhealthy" is called "customer skimming." Customer skimming is illegal but somehow, large insurance-for-health companies like Centene get away with it with the help of their army of lobbiests and corporatist politicians. Centene takes this one step further and skims its own employees.

Seems like you don’t really have an issue with Centene’s policies until they (wait for it) actually impact you. So it’s not really fascism it’s just … a policy you disagree with following to the point where you would let them fire you. Look forward to the links you share with your outrage from when smoking/tobacco use was no longer allowed in a health care company’s workplace. Seems like you would have been all over that! Or how about your outrage when you had to swipe your badge like all the damn time so they always know if you are in the building. Talk about a violation! What’s that? Those policies didn’t really bother you so you didn’t … wait for it … have a problem following them. It’s a policy, not Fascism. I don’t like it, but I’ll follow it because … like those other policies, it’s their prerogative. You are foolish to think that by letting go of the folks not vaccinated, the vaccinated are safer from a layoff. It's apparent that you are surviving in a corporate bubble mentality. Everything has to do with money and looking good for a sell off!!! Do you not realize the organization itself is dismantling? You will have your day as well, the vaccine mandate was just 'icing on the cake' to make it easy for the company to get rid of people. The rest of you will get your day as well. The organization will not be what it is today. The reason for Ken coming back is again, to prepare the company for sale. Exactly what he did for Wellcare!

To original poster... I am pretty sure you meant safe from layoffs. That vaccinated people would be safe from layoffs that might happen this quarter since centene has starting to boot out non vaccinated people.

I am hoping your logic is correct, that the layoff rolls will consist mostly of the unvaccinated for this quarter, but if there are planned layoffs for the sake of reducing the work force the vaccinated will be added in as well.
I never feel 100% safe when it comes to layoffs, some of the best and brightest get caught up in order to reduce a department's budget it seems. They take a handful of the lowest producers of work and a handful of the higher paid (with great production numbers) and make a funky stinky soup of people!
Well I’m fully vaccinated w booster and I suffered for weeks with the Omicron. So did the jab help me not die or was I the lucky one that survived? No one knows , as long as money is being made “ they don’t care”. I truly felt like hellllll ! The way this World is going, who’s to say what will happen with my over vaccinated body. Tomorrow is not promised and we all could end up NUKED before we find out!!!!
