His exit has been very quiet in the press. No one externally seems to care.

@gn Maybe it was a rounding up issue, CSC founded 1959.

Receiving $10 million in compensation after Goonville tried to gaslight employees that DXC has existed for 70 years shows how fu---d up the situation is.

@ft

"he's managed to survive the CEO transition despite Raul being publicly alluding to his desire to fire the Salvino hires he doesn't like. Mary, Deckelman, Wilson, Grinnell, Brady now Howard..... So why has Drumgoole survived?"

If you look anywhere at ceo changeovers you see that replacing the old guys golfing buddies with your own golfing buddies is fairly standard practice.

You also see that any survivors of these purges are always actually the dross and totally inexplicable as to why they've survived vs others having been replaced.

Basically it's got nothing to do with performance.

Just my tuppence as someone who's spent their entire life in corporate pantomimes...

@ft btw same thing goes for Seelan and yet people here have said Seelan is actually a really good regional lead.

only said by DXC competitors in region, because for them he's perfect as the DXC lead :-)

@fh from the outside the whole thing strikes me as completely bizarre and frankly I don't know what to believe. Please forgive me for being ignorant. I recognize that DXC is a hard place to work and yes it's undeniable that GIS's revenue has declined in the 2 years and 4 months (According to LinkedIn) that Drumgoole has been at the helm. But also the business was already in a pitiful state and he's managed to survive the CEO transition despite Raul being publicly alluding to his desire to fire the Salvino hires he doesn't like. Mary, Deckelman, Wilson, Grinnell, Brady now Howard..... So why has Drumgoole survived? It just doesn't make sense to me. It seems like he might be an easy target to throw blame but when a new management comes in they realize he's actually pretty important. Its also worth pointing out that ITO had a 1.50 & 1.30 book to bill in Q3 and Q4. This coincided with Raul's first full sales cycle, new revenue incentives and DXC's first chief revenue officer. So while I agree that Drumgoole plays a part in renewals changing the sales org around looks like it's actually made a tangible difference. I keep referring to this but the Skanska win using a product that was developed by Ferrovial is impressive. Hopefully DXC has the resources available to support this new work coming in and the service delivery won't crash and burn but if they do then ITO might actually be getting close to stabilizing.

@f9+1jzp25c1h the way drummy treats folks has an long-term impact on clients and customers dont renew or give new contracts.

The rate of decline is shocking, no business losing 8% plus revenue every year can survive. Drummy has been a VP leader taking millions all that time. He should own up and accept his failure after 5 years.

@f2 Novice question but does Drumgoole oversee the GIS sales org? Presumably revenue would be under T.R. if so then wouldn't it be incorrect to blame him for the revenue growth. If someone could explain or even leak the org chart I'd appreciate it.

Drummer is a bygone, Keasley who works for him is 10 times a better people motivator and sales person.

Drummer and people like Danny G are the problems with this company, they have no drive or growth ambitions, they are just bygone cutters repeating old ideas taking big money.

They have taken this company backwords 2 years by re installing more layers at the top whilst sccrewing the folks doing the work at the lower layers.

@dg Don’t care if you’re a fan or not, but you’ve got it backwards. GIS has been shrinking slower every quarter since he took over. Not keen on him myself, but let’s get the facts straight.

@dg eh I sorta don't like the Kyndryl DXC comparison. Kyndryl is a carve out of IBM, where as DXC is a gumbo with 20 different businesses knifed by M1. Yeah he didn't fix the ERP situation as CIO but it's been well documented that it's a horribly difficult thing to fix and DXC has had to hire a chief administrative officer in addition to a new CIO in order to fix it. From what I've been able to gather externally the sales reorg has helped win some longer term outsourcing work so we'll what the numbers look like in the seasonally weak 1H of the year.

Our ito and gis revenue growth results are the worst negative growth rates over the last two years under drummer in the history of dxc. He may be a nice guy but he did not fix our systems as cio, the business is worse the last two years while kyndryl had positive revenue growth last quarter.

@cx I actually believe you. I'm external but it did strike me as weird that Salvino trusted Drumgoole and made him COO then put him in charge of ITO and eventually all of GIS. He also then survives the transition under Raul when execs like Brady or Mary where shown the door. Now we've started to see some new wins in GIS like Skanska & Carnival and based off of the book to bill it looks like GIS is stabilizing with non-insurance GBS becoming more of a laggard.

@bf I actually work in Drummer’s org. I disagree. He’s a really good person. Making real, positive changes. People who work for him, love him.

The execs if you press them on bonuses and severance payments will tell you that those are contractual and they have to pay them.

It's ironic when dxc spends a lot of time trying to get out of other contracts that have negative effects on the business... Including employees benefits like pensions.

It's long past time that the clown show sorted their own house out.

Drummer is the biggest scammer and in collusion with Penne Pasta will loot this company nicely.

Great work if you can get it millions for doing FA.

The execs here are unbelievable. There are much bigger profitable companies paying less than 50% of what DXC execs swindle. How Drum and others are paid the amounts they get is comical.

Where are they getting this money from, when employees ask fir pay on town halls they questions go un answered.

Then they expect folks to work hard and deliver. A very bent company and leadership. Lead by example ha ha what a joke.
