Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Heartland

Anyone else suffering in the Heartland and damn near wanting to quit from these managers being a--holes over the tiniest things..... you best walk exactly 90 degrees across track, you had better pause before getting off in the same spot you just got on at.... better wear your fogging up eye wear. Don't get caught on camera not wearing ear pro with the window open when the bell isn't that loud..... also stay off the ties they'd rather you roll an ankle.....

Any other service unit going through the su-k as well?????

@gj

Maybe not homeless but the guys I work with couldn’t hold down a job at McDonalds. Maybe that’s why they tolerate the abuse and misery. Their lives are pathetic. Most of the misery is in their head because they know this is the best job they’ll ever have.

If homelessness isn't a big deal I'm encouraging everyone who has hurt feelings to quit and find something else.

They want to base production expectations on pre "We're watching you like a hawk and will fire you at the drop of a hat" metrics and they have a rude awakening coming.

With regards to getting coached for not getting something done that requires parts you don't have, I hope you're all noting the lack of resources in writing on your coach.

Oh yea. Mechanical side were getting criticals from guys in CB and Chicago that just stare at cameras all day. We're getting coaching on production even though we didn't have parts to put on. Its a running joke anymore. They want to make people quit or fire them so they don't look bad for this merger I hope jimmy shortlegs doesn't get

Just give them want they want and see if they want what they get. Bring a T-square to lay down to ensure you're right at 90 degrees. Exaggerate the pause when getting off. When crossing in front of equipment give them so much room they'll think you're leaving the property. Just make a big production of it and everything else they want.

Don't get mad, embrace it with a smile.
