Rumor has it that it was the West Coast Retail Mafia that drove SO out. MKW, MAN, ABW, MEVO, CK, and AL all grew up together in CVX Retail Marketing and are thick as thieves. If you’re not accepted by them, you don’t belong and you’re not going anywhere but out.

@gg Perhaps because the admin got drunk at a company function. I don’t know, I’m just guessing. It really is a tragic situation, and a young man lost his life, that admin’s life is ruined, too, and SO was probably collateral damage. Very sad all around
How the heck is an admin driving incident SO's fault? Of course the admin should be held accountable.

They were waiting for a court date to come and go re: admin dd incident. The last one was 11/17 per Iowa court records. SO’s last day was 11/17 as well…
Wait? Was this the same SO who gave a Leader Dialogue earlier this month? She is gone?? What the heck happened?? She wasn't here that long.
She gave open, honest, and authentic unscripted responses. That was noticed and valued. She was not some polished Chevroid. She appeared real and accessible, and someone who seemed to genuinely care. I was darn proud of her authenticity and thought she brought a unique perspective that I was a breath of fresh air to see.
I hope to dear God she is not gone. She has a ton of leadership experience. Losing her would he a huge loss to the organization.

Y’all are going after a seriously unfortunate event and missing the challenge of being an outsider in Chevron. SO’s leaving has more to do with being a straight talking leader coming into an organization that values soft double nice talking.

If you are talking about SO, it might have something to do with her admin (probably former now), who got drunk at a company function, drove the wrong way, and kill3d a young man. There had to have been repercussions from that.
@a6 You didn't have traffic jams or worked 5 days a week before the pandemic?
@ap well, SO is a capable leader, not a DEI token. You cannot just simply put a DEI hat to female leaders. Whoever lets her go doesn't make chevron looking good and left the whole organization curious about what happened in dark.
Anyone know why she left? SO is a great leader.

I am sure once they are subjected to four days per week of traffic jams so they can "collaborate" in-person in an office with no particular place to sit, it will all turn around. That's MW's plan, at least.
