Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

It's not worth it

I used to think I'd be willing to take anything at work to keep my pay. Long hours, having to work weekends, having to deal with toxic managers... I think I finally realized that it's not worth it. Making a lot of money is not more important than having good physical and mental health, time to spend with your family, and enjoyment for what you do. I think I'm finally ready to leave Honeywell even if I have to take a significant pay cut.

Get out!!! I got out 2 months ago and I am shocked by how calm my new company seems! People actually enjoy being there. Nothing is worth the stress that HON puts on their employees, it is totally unnecessary and BS. Just ask anyone that has left!

If you try with the right strategy, not only you will have better pay but will be able to regain your mental health my friend. How do I know it? Its my own story. It’s also because I know my former colleagues in Honeywell are talented and this place is toxic for health.

Learn to separate work from life once you're day ends or you leave site.

Makes life enjoyable while still raking in a good amount of money that's icing on top.

I found out that Honeywell actually didn’t keep up with pay as well as it’s competitors. I convinced myself I was getting paid good because I was abused, not because I actually got paid good.

I was lucky as a non exempt. Worked my 40 hours and left. Can't imagine being on the clock constantly. Wish you well, go find something else that's a better fit.
