Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What A Scam!!!

Jobs just closed on Tuesday for workday and already by Thursday interviews already aligning…this is a scam! How is it that EA positions are being saved for workday and then asking other lower PSG admins to apply so that they too can be relief EA’s and they’ve only been working here 2yrs! Thank you MN for keeping all your groups EA’s safe and protected. The others have NO chance at moving ahead. What does that say to the the countless Admins that have worked here 15 yrs plus with no real path to progression? It says that Chevron does not or ever has cared about the lower PSG’s. That’s why the career ladder is a fu--ing joke. It’s not been updated in more than 10yrs, but people who arrived 2yrs ago are moving quickly up the ladder! There is no advancement for the little guy especially for minorities! This is a SCAM, it’s all about what or who you know!

All of the positions are affected- including EAs. The C suite doesn’t care who you are or what role you’re in. Dropped PSGs and cuts across the board. EAs should have the inside scoop on what’s happening and why. Please share the reasoning behind all of this.

@cy not sure who you’re talking about but I have been working as an EA for 20+ yrs and I have my degree! Not even being paid a small token close to you all id--ts who don’t know how to enter a ticket for IT or orders but your asking if any of us received a GED??? Unbelievable!!!

@cy not sure how long you’ve been here but it does appear that looking at the EAs across the board that there are more Caucasians in those roles than any other. Chevron always prides itself in being diverse and equal opportunity and the numbers don’t even out when you look at the other sectors. Wonder why that is????

@d6 what do you want to know? MN is ruthless. If you aren’t a brownnoser, if you don’t smile when he is disrespectful, you are soon to be gone.
As a long time CVX employee, and a short time MN admin, I was miserable answering to him.
Sometimes even who you know isn’t enough.

@OP As a former admin for MN, I can for certain tell you he does not care about the admins at all. He does not care about anyone below him, but especially the admin staff. Don’t waste your time wondering, it doesn’t matter.

Well it’s not surprising that every group knows how to book they’re own party’s, office meets, enter their own tickets, book their own airfare, enter CTREX properly, bring teams together and clean up the messes left behind after reorgs/restack. Yeah go ahead and see how far AI gets you Mikey! If it wasn’t for the ones who really need their jobs (staying at low PSGs) n don’t have “legacy” parents to push n help along the way there wouldn’t be any Admins period.
