GBD was impacted. 3 managers and 9 OEs let go.
Someone who just lost their livelihood and is reeling and panicking doesn't owe you risking their supp to report details that could identify them. In small teams, it's easy to deduce despite "anonymity," and the company is aware of this site. This is in poor taste.
We're all curious and concerned, but it's insensitive to demand people further risk themselves to ease your mind.
@xmf+1tUo4Z52 totally agree with you, pls bare with wat it's being put out as that's the most we can share otherwise put ourselves at jeopardy
People who've gotten the message are told to take the rest of the day and the next. So when you see someone abruptly OOO with a vague status that they're out till Monday, it's a fair deduction they got the news. Especially if they were previously active today.
The point of this site is what ! To share information . Don’t come here and be all secretive and only give pieces . I
Lmao yall are so soft
You’ve obviously been with the company a short amount of time <7 years. All you have to do is ask your coworkers what they’ve heard, check in on people who moved departments…. That’s what the rest of us do.
@knu+1tUo4Z52 Sorry, can you explain why that would that be?
Just look at your friends on teams. If they are suddenly out of office with a message about returning on Monday, likely let go.
Just what a person who has been RIF'd wants: an anonymous stranger yelling at them to jeopardize their severance by adding in a lot of details. Yes it is useful to hear generally the area (geography or business function) but extend some grace to people who are having an objectively bad day. To all the RIF'd individuals: I am so sorry and wish you the best.
I googled Elevance Health Layoffs Reddit. A few post popped up. @tef+1tUo4Z52
Also: r/jobs and r/layoffs
@gbt+1tUo4Z52 can you share which subreddit? the reddit search feature constantly lets me down
Reddit also has some post with info
I agree on the comments. I think this post/question is rude. The least you can do is to RESPECT the privacy and anonymity of those of us who have received the meeting invite today. I still have a few hours to pray for a miracle that the meeting is to inform me of something else. But I’m very thankful for the folks on this forum for giving a heads up cause it makes ready to hear the worst news.
Some departments are very small, putting out info could point directly to someone who may have signed an NDA or don’t want to be identified somehow
No one is making them come here and post..LOL..We already know Layoffs are happening.
People who’ve just lost their jobs owe us nothing. Be grateful they’re sharing any info at all.
