@OP On the one hand I share your hope, yet on the other, knowing that I have been looking for a new opportunity since Mark B announced a hiring freeze at the end of CY Q1 2025 and I am still at OT. At the very least, I have improved how I manage rejection.
I think the "principles our new CEO has shared" message in some inboxes this week is harbinger of many layoffs.
All I can say is good luck to us all, the dole and foodbank lines are already long enough.

I hoped I would get laid off, and did.
It's been two years and still no job. If you're over 50, maybe don't be so eager until you have something else i the bag.
@ed I hope it's sh-tf-cks just like you that get the ax. You are probably one of the "hiring and returning to growth" liars that has zero empathy for the stress that OT is causing with the constant layoffs. Never seen a company like this in my life. For many of us it's not as simple as just leaving.
If this is how you feel, start applying for other jobs. You don’t want to be forced to find a job vs having the opportunity to find one while still employed.
I recently left for another job, they are out there; but you have to step out of your comfort zone.
Keep your head up, find the greener pasture.
