How many raise depends on the LOB. For sales-related LOB the raises are more frequent; for Product Development it was pathetic. It was by design though -- Managers were given a very small pool of money to allocate to his subordinates. So for managers, either pour all money to 1 or 2 person for a meaningful raise, or distribute evenly and everyone get peanuts.
Few peanuts like 1.5% to 2% every 3 to five years gap, zero bonuses and very little in stocks with a wide wide gap. After 20 years, I am below poverty line now. I hate my Job and I hate Oracle but just lost hope for myself. I am already pathetic, negative, emotionally numb....
I am lost and mad at myself. I don't even know why I am writing and how would it help. Do not want anyone to be in my position ever.
@g8 I doubt I'm a unicorn, although I do remember some people complaining about there not being bonuses, when I was receiving them. There was a bit of a dry spell for bonuses for most of the 2010s.
I'm also a surprised about people saying that Oracle doesn't pay well as it seemed pretty good to me, but I'm not in America so perhaps the comparisons are different. I'm sure my former colleagues, including in the US, wouldn't have hung around at a company that wasn't paying appropriate compensation and many had been at Oracle for as long as me. As @de said, why do people stay at a company that pays badly?
10% in 2024. 2025 was the only year I didn’t receive a raise in the almost 10 years I have worked at Oracle.
@fw you are either a unicorn or a liar. No raises and dry promotions have been the norm for several years.
I find it quite shocking that there are people saying they received minimal pay rises. I was at Oracle for over 25 years and received well above inflation pay rises in most of those years.
2 years ago, that bump was below inflation
but hey, my productivity and output increased at least 5 times, while I am getting paid effectively less! isn't capitalism a beautiful thing?
1 salary increase in the last 6 years
5 years ago. A normal raise would be 3-4% each year in my country, so I just fade out and try to reduce my working time in the same amount instead.
How do you people work for a company that doesn't pay raises every year? You need to get an amount at least equal to inflation to stay even. For the people who haven't gotten a raise in 10 years that is your own fault. You should have left after the second year. Now you are stuck. The way inflation has been over the last decade you are now getting paid at least 25-30% less than you made 10 years ago. Good job!
NEVER on more than 10 career years
2023 2% it was a joke!!
1976
5 years ago since then every annual appraisal it was the same story ,no focal this year.
At my last company in 2022 (2023 if you include my new salary at Oracle)
About 8/10 years ago
In 2024, 5%
@OP 2024 I got a very small raise. Maybe like 500 dollars? I don’t fully remember but it was a joke.
