I know this is likely a moot point considering how we in the US are viewed but is it true that the highest pay jump you can receive only 15%. So if you jump from say G to I or H to J you can only receive a 15% raise? How does the firm retain talent if that’s the case? Seems like anyone jumping to VP level would be severely under paid vs external hires

This is a stu-pid thread.
Talent retention? For crying out loud we have:
Talent descension.
If you do not believe so, then, you are blind. Probably deaf too.
@g8
You are just a protected cow right now.
It won’t last
Enjoy while you can
Im sure will get hate, but…
I’ve received several raises since starting here, every year has been between 14-40%. Not all were giving at promotions.
All depends on what you do. Don’t expect that level of growth if you’re doing administrative/processing work. I firmly believe that most people can do this, but it requires real work to get into a role that pays well. Keeping your head down and processing trades and payments isn’t going to cut it if you want to materially increase your income. Doesn’t mean you aren’t doing a good job, but not all jobs pay the same.
This firm's policy is to pay internal promotions worse than external hires due to horrible raises.
It's kinda baffling but the state of things.
15% is also the max in Europe.
But its usually a lot lot less.
Sickening new people come in on more than people get promoted to.
I'm told a large raise and a promotion are too completely different things and I had to pick which one to push for.
When I got promoted to Director I received a 2% raise, whet a joke. And then a year later that promotion got me the honor of being in the office a day more than if I had just stayed a VP. I left soon after that. F Bony
Yes they absolutely try to stop you from making more than a % increase which is wild. I’ve had hr come a few times and try to say no they cant make more than this and i always say this is the starting salary for this position so this is what they need to be put at. Never had pushback but who tf are they to prevent anyone from advancing. This place is a complete sh-t hole that needs to be put on blast and called out to the public for everything. We need to find someone in the media who will help do so. Its the worst place to come to work unless you’re foreign of course
The brightest have been kicked out or left on their own. We should all do the same!!
The place doesn’t retain talent - it’s leaving in droves
Who’s jumping two levels? That’s about what my raise was for my promotion.
easy one, they dont retain talent if you are US or EU based. Leaderships sees only another offshoring opportunity.
Its 25% in eu location
You forgot the decimal point between the 1 and the 5 :)
