Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Future exits

With all the changes taking place at OpenText, when do you think there will be a layoff or exits of non performing sales reps.

The SMB/C MSP business should be easy to carve out and sell. I don’t know of many end users of these MSPs that have other Enterprise OpenText products…. Definitely not small business or consumer.

@g8, At least for the next 2~4 months until the new CEO comes in and be tasked to sell off non core businesses.

I doubt they will create any instability right now. I don’t think there will be any layoffs for now.

There are already finalists for CEO. The statement by the board on the all hands this week that employees should expect 8 to 12 weeks for the CEO to be named AND that non core business units are under review are tied together. There will be trimming of employees in a very quiet way during this pre CEO period including the elimination of certain roles altogether, all aligned with the objective to make selling parts more attractive.

A lot of employees here today will be gone by the start of FY27. OpenText will NOT be the employee size it is today.
