Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike cannot come out with anything original, ground breaking, influential like they used to

WHY? WHY?

They are bloated and bureaucratic and then filled with bunch of a-s kissers who is being managed by even bigger incompetent a-s kisser.
If you don't believe me then explain to me why Nike cannot come out with anything new like they used 10 years and before that.
What Nike needs is break up the company and be run as separate units. Common stock holders will make more money.
Nike employees will have more opportunity to work since each companies needs position filled.
As long as Nike remains same path expecting different results then Nike is INSANE.

yep nailed it, @am..... that is exactly the majority sentiment, the job is now a temporary stop or bridge to another job, everyone I know has resumes out there, if the economy picks up, nike will get what they want finally, to be all in on itc.... ironic though, watching costs actually rise and productivity fall, with Indian leaders at the helm

@am Our company is run by people that don’t celebrate Christmas. Some of them even hate the holiday outright.

They went out of their way to force us to work during Christmas! My only surprise is that this was merely a heads up. Rather than handing out pinkslips and candy canes. We’re still in tge office anyways. But that’s probably the problem. We only do impersonal phoned-in layoffs. So they can’t bring us in and lay us off on the same day.

When you hit "send" to a company wide email hours before Christmas ( a few years ago) and tell everyone that there will be layoffs and hard decisions in the new year, you are shooting yourseld straight in the foot! That is it! You ki-l the moral in one move. When you show door to research veterans that have been with the company at NSRL for 10 , 18 years ,that is it! That is the end of Nike! Others see these moves and never ever trust Nike as an employer to fully invest their time and energy.
We casually sneak in at 10 am to then start our Lunch and gym combo at 11 to 1 and be gone by 3 pm!
