Was anyone given this offer as an alternative to the layoff? If not, why? It seems like that would indicate a performance or other reason than just someone being remote.

@b8 no sorry for the confusion - I’m only wondering if anyone got this offer? Or if they are only straight layoffs
@fy
Better than no pay!
So you are okay with lower pay?
@fs
Unemployment is more expensive then $4.50 gallon
The average cost of gas is $4.522/gal. Who the he-l can afford to go to the office just to be on Teams calls?
I know a lot of Onsite 4 days a week people who , play the 4 hours in office, but only keep to the bare minimum days a quarter required. A don't even think of asking them "you in Friday"
There are a lot of useless and ineffective in office workers too. WFH is biggest scam and people think it is a birthright! There are very good remote workers but unfortunately they are infrequent. I hope people got the message of coming into work if you want less chance of RIF.
@ex With all due respect, you’re the one out of touch.
I know quite a few remote workers who are putting in much more than the typical 40 hours a week.
It’s unfortunate there are a few bad apples that ruin it for the rest.
Please don’t be so ignorant to make generalize statements such as this
100% remote workers are useless. Out of touch with reality 99% of the time. An extra layer of corporate bloat.
I do know a bunch of people were moved from 1 team to another, But many remote users were impacted.
Explain more - did you get an offer like that
