Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Not us vs them

Remember it’s not us vs each other. It’s the have vs the have nots, or top vs bottom.

The execs don’t have to badge in, they have dedicated offices, they don’t track hours, they negotiate their pay, and the list goes on.

Oh, and I forgot, one last thing, anyone with a grasp of reality is a "bootlicker" the latest trendy buzz word that describes anyone who faces reality and deals with it as an adult.

There's a chain of command or hierarchy at every company, from the smallest to the largest, including Micky-D's and the people closer to the top get the perks, better working conditions, pay, etc. The peons like me and most of you get the scraps. If you don't like it, get another job or try to get a better position. What I'm reading on this site sounds like a broken record and just a lot of complaining for nothing. How is this informative or helping anyone?

Let’s not pretend it’s ‘us vs. us.’ It’s the people scanning badges and hunting for a hot desk vs. the people who glide past security, never track a minute, and negotiate their salaries from behind doors we’ll never see.

@fx

it is true that a career can be though of as a contract to fill a role in a dictatorship. but some dictators are far more fair and reasonable. and so pointing it out isn’t as clever as you think. it just makes you seem like a bootlicker.

If you think that you're going to get a "gotcha" moment at the TH, you're delusional. You won't get close to MW. If the OP somehow is allowed in the room, you won't be allowed to ask anything to anyone because they don't know who you are. If you open your mouth and start to speak, you'll be shut down. This isn't a democracy or a republic. It is a dictatorship which is run from the top with an iron hand and a steel boot. This simple fact seems to be news for some. Other companies run in the same manner.

Someone needs to tell MW at SETH that he and the execs should lead by example and hot desk like the rest of us.

Accountability? #Culture? #ExecutiveTeam? #Morale? #WorkLifeBalance? You serious that's something DEI does NOT have neither of these to show no results what so ever. Yeah keep telling yourselves that if it makes you happy. Hahahahaha!

it’s interesting but not surprising that the peons of exxon are unfamiliar with servant leadership

honesty i think exxon employees are so down bad that they truly yearn for the cubical mines
