Is this same person leveraged his Trip for something to CHINA?
Now for the ATC lead and AC...talk about cronieism...none of the current CIE leaders are worth a damn
@kc Well said. When someone reports a conflict with a lead or team member, it’s disappointing to see the same manager turn around and inform that lead who raised the concern—completely disregarding basic confidentiality.
This isn't about management training; it's about basic human decency, something that shouldn't require a title to understand.
Sadly, many individuals who aren’t even fit to be leads end up as people managers or directors. The only shared mindset seems to be: “I don’t know anything, you don’t know anything—so let’s just run the show together.”
@fv Yep! Back when competitive hiring was in place Nike was a different place. Now we have Sr Leaders promoting people that they "like" and ethics are out the door. They can keep sending surveys out, promote the speak up portal and check every other box. At the end of the day, It's who you know and what you know about them that will determine your fate. Anonymous reports don't go anywhere and if you expose yourself, you will be the target. Keep your head down, do your work, speak when you are spoken to and despite being encouraged to "do the right thing" it isn't the safe option anymore.
Almost all senior and mid senior level leadership folks who joined in/after 2021 left this ORG or removed.
Same old folks who rolls the ba--s without knowing what the purpose , still exist.
Is this called karma???
There are still plenty of people(weeds) who have no idea what resilience or resilience truly mean.
Back when competitive hiring was in place, they couldn’t earn a promotion. But the moment the organisation removed competitive hiring, many of them suddenly became Directors and Principals.
If the MD team is watching this, they should go and review what the team under ES has actually accomplished over the past five years other than handling PD’s (~50 million budget) Once they do, they’ll realise that dismantling the entire team might be the only logical step forward.
many in RESE? I thought just AS
Layoff cycle not over for GT then?
WTF is going on here? It wasn't just the VP, there were a number of others in RESE impacted in the last 2 days. Most shocking was AS. He had such great chemistry with MD....as observed at a prior all team.
Still waiting for AC to have the same outcome
@ch they have already started off-shoring...i mean look at his name....fu--ing h1bs
I know nothing about this guy. But also… I know nothing about our current resiliency platform. I haven’t been involved in game days, chaos monkey, or anything really since before our last CEO.
This org currently lacks the necessary interfunction relationships and as a result hasn’t shared a vision let alone an actionable plan for the company.
I’m not surprised High heads are rolling. They failed in their role as far as I can see from the outside. My only surprise is this happened before a major outage, which does make me wonder if this will precede yet more offshoring.
Ohh come on, if anyone who is backing this guy, they have no clue the blood bath happened in his org, my take on this is if there's been a mass layoff the head of that org should take full blame and has to resign immediately and effectively, no exceptions to anybody just like JD, every one has to go
Beyond not doing his job, having an org in shambles, and not actually knowing how to do his job, any other reasons?
@a9 define what was the wrong cause?
Effective immediately-termination for the wrong cause. I know he was a great guy
