Reasons to quit

What reasons do you find are enough to quit?
Personally, the micromanaging, lack of respect and compassion, poor management, unrealistic expectations which are constantly changing while never adjusted to reality, lack of communication (only top to bottom communication exists and it is not sincere), lack of opportunities to grow and the reducing of benefits kind of have done it for me.

The overwhelming workload and expectations.... Does anyone REALLY think it's possible to effectively work over 330 claims??

Attorneys that send demands with just a handful of business days to respond. Managers that send several emails daily with new processes or MY PERSONAL FAVORITE "ask a team mate how to handle that, I haven't worked a claim for xx years" so yes that's why you have NO IDEA why it's "taking so long" to do the overwhelming amount of work that's expected, when it's expected. Oh and don't forget to make sure you get training in other areas of the claim so you can handle it during the endless incoming calls on other people's claims....
I'm currently looking. Hanging out until after bonuses are paid, and taking vacation time until it's all gone, prior to quitting.
It's good manners and old school to give notice, but I don't think I will.

If you are talented, you will vote with your feet. I did, and haven't looked back at the old soul sucking environment at the farm. The execs don't care about frontline employees' complaints; because in their eyes, everything is working just as planned. Ultimately the company will have employees that they believe have no options, cornered, and will take it like a champ.

Injury claims CS checking in, I'll be looking at other opportunities once I get paid the bonus. I feel bad for my team, but claims leadership doesn't care about our feedback our concerns.

If there is anyone unhappy with their job and still employed it is their own miserable fault. This is the great resignation. If you don’t like your employer do want 4.5 million Americans did in November and quit. If you can’t quit you must have no talent.

This is why there is so much leadership and micro managing. State Farm has some of most lazy employees in the entire industry. Not to mention not real bright either.

We have GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) leadership. When u dont know how to run a company u do 2 things. Micro manage and hire consultants which id exactly what SF doing.

The complete lack of communication to those of us on the front lines. The implementation of technology that actually makes our experience, the agent experience, and the customer experience worse overall. I’m so, so tired of having to apologize daily to agents for things that I KNOW ARE WRONG but I have no authority to resolve.

Today's generation IS NOT the same as the generation that had the work ethic and it shows. Management has not adapted.

The reasons to quit not necessarily has to do with what a company is doing, but rather how it is affecting YOU. If you feel miserable, depressed, anxiety, poor physical and mental health, not living for yourself. It is probably time to find something else that isn't going to ki-l you slowly.

For those of us unfamiliar with Steve Sheller ?? Could you provide an example of “old leadership throwing their rank on the table?”

State Farm needs a Steve Sheller Marine. Leadership needs to grow a set and speak the truth for the line workers. Not one and I mean not one has a set and is willing to throw their rank on the table like old leadership did. When they don't do it, this is what you get. CHAOS!

Stalkers, leadership and retaliation amd no race related discrimination and people in charge that don't even know what the heck they are Implementing acting like big shot data, marketing and system big shot technocrats sharing people's and employees data and information calling it safety and security and risk management.

Compliance and Ethics- big fake whose who farce.

L&D and HR (bad strategy)

Too many people doing little getting paid way way too much for what they really do and adding promotions based on shady system implementations is simply unethical.

Metrics are unethical as well as demographic HR decision making .

Lots to be concerned about. Stalkers run SF and it should be illegal.

I wouldn't say quit but find something else before you do. There is more joy in it when you can say 2 weeks.

@vyk You remember when we kept the promises to both the internal and external customers. Sorry to say but it is now lie and steal from internal and external customers.

I think you've nailed all of mine and then some. I plan to tell my SM that its all over today. Can't do this any more. For the majority of my 38 years this was a great company. Now its just another big corporation with all of the problems you've outlined. The total disconnect that the executives have and the total "yes men" mentality of the mid-mgmt. have ruined the Claims organization. Everyone is realizing this will continue and jumping ship now. Good luck everyone.
