Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Customer centric scheduling

Is this for the csa's and specialists?!? How does it effect management (supervisors and asms) ? I'm assuming they keep their days off since some of the supervisors assist with the asms in opening and closing of the store .

[Quote] Store Manager, ASMs, the one “special” Department Supervisor that has store key, Head Cashiers, Cash Office, Pro Service, Receiving, RTM, Truck Unloaders & Night Crew (obviously) are the ONLY ones exempt from Customer Centric Scheduling. All others, expect 3 out of EVERY 4 weeks of the month to be split days off and only 1 weekend off every 8 weeks.

It's different for each store. Our store the front and back end and 2 floor supervisors have keys to assist asms open and close the store. We will remain on our rotations . The other supervisors will not

Everyone will submit their preferred availability. Part-time employees will have a majority of their shifts scheduled on weekends to meet business needs but are no longer guaranteed hours. (In the past, part-time employee’s averaged 10-25 hours per week.) With the new scheduling system, if your availability is not in line with the needs of the business, you may be assigned 0 hours for the week.

If your availability does not meet the needs of your department, it’s suggested you speak with management about cross-training opportunities, which may allow for you to pick up additional hours in an alternate department.

Any information about impact to Part Time employees? Automated sched that comes out every Wed is so weird, but Supervisor then fixes it to match when he knows you can work. Lots of people in our store working weekends and 2nd shift at Lowe’s have other FT jobs, or are in school.

Was from “test market” that has now been rolled out nationwide.

Store Manager, ASMs, the one “special” Department Supervisor that has store key, Head Cashiers, Cash Office, Pro Service, Receiving, RTM, Truck Unloaders & Night Crew (obviously) are the ONLY ones exempt from Customer Centric Scheduling. All others, expect 3 out of EVERY 4 weeks of the month to be split days off and only 1 weekend off every 8 weeks.

If you’ve been with the company for years and have been full-time with a set matrix, you should see this as the end for you. You think you can do it and you will for awhile, but then slowly and sadly realize the death knell has been sounded—if you have ears to hear.

Our store manager has 2 of our supervisors helping front end and back end supervisors opening and closing the store with the asms. They are on rotations. The other supervisors are not on rotations.

Only salary keep their rotation.
Non-salary management get 1 weekend every 8 weeks just like the rest of the store
