That’s the thing about working in APLA. It’s so complex that no one actually understands it. You don’t need to perform, because there’s no accountability! CS just has to say “look how complex and diverse our Geo is!” and suddenly she’s off the hook for not understanding or delivering the business in any real way.

@gb - If you want an example of maximum complexity, look at the current APLA portfolio with 20+ unique country line plans, multiple currencies, languages and cultures across 5 continents and both hemispheres. The theoretical Americas geo would be half that complex. Bigger issue would be diluting the focus on the USA business.

That’s an interesting take, and while I can think of a few pros of combining regions, each of those regions is a WIlDLY different market and I’m having a hard time how a unified strategy for each would work.

There was a reason they existed to begin with; different communication styles, different spending and shopping habits, and different cultures, all requiring a different approach.

I guess time will tell, but I’m going to remain skeptical.
