I bet Chevron is about to learn that Indians want to go work for Chevron to GET OUT of INDIA… not get low pay and still have to stay in India.
@fc, exactly. Look at many developing countries and you will see them fighting for jobs, visas, and opportunity for their people. Look at developed countries and see how fast they scramble to sell out their “burdensome” citizens for newcomers.
we're in this spot because of globalization & lack of job protection here in the states.
After I left Chevron, I worked for an engineering company that dictated that civil mechanical and piping work would be done it India.
It was horrible, especially accommodating the time zone and poor quality.
It ended the careers of several US managers.
I think the short term it’ll be huge stock gains for Chevron and that’s what Wirthless is going for, it’ll be huge payout for him and the board.
