So we have meetings where Simple Simon tells us we need more cyber resources. And then he cuts cyber resources. Brilliant.
Cybersecurity, TFB, Technology, Digital are the ones I heard.
Anyone know what part of the organization was hit today? Corporate? Technology? What part of the country?
Under Simon. It was a lot, could easily been 1000. I only know my team lost 50% plus manager.
Under Lohe got hit hard today as well. Not sure of any other under Nester.

"Was a brutal day under my VP today. Only good news was we were told that is it once your team is hit it's over and there won't be more in the upcoming weeks."
Who is your VP? What org? How many let go?

Let the magenta hunger games begin. Imagine making it until week 5 thinking you’re safe, and then you get the axe smh. Good luck to all.
"You will lose all your unvested units but they usuallynoaynforward your next vestments. Anything past that u lose."
Anything in queue to vest they'll usually make it vest. Obviously the next round one would have received they won't get.

"All stocks paid out"
Does that mean ESPP or RSU? I know you get your ESPP money back but are they vesting all RSUs?
Hopefully the Area Director in Atlanta gets the boot.
The late half of 2020
You right 3 years 2020 - 2023
"14 weeks? T-Nation says 8 weeks plus 2 weeks for every year. Would you mind clarifying if it had changed to 14 weeks?"
It's 8 weeks plus 2 weeks for every year. Capped at 26 weeks. The poster either doesn't know what they are talking about or they are referring to what the specific individual got which would be for a 3 year employee (8 weeks + 6 weeks for 3 years of service=14 weeks
New company tagline T-Mobile "The Un-Employer"
Any idea of the layoff impact on the TSD&O organization?
Does anyone know if being impacted this week if the actual separation date is for sure 60 days out on payroll, or is actual separation date being set for November? Trying to plan medical coverage and what month it will end.

Bye and by the way keep it quiet? How awful, uncaring.
Your direct manager will only know after you are let go. The meeting will come from your director.
All stocks paid out
You get paid till November 2 plus 14 weeks
Pay out your PTO as well
Keep insurance till November plus 14 weeks
She was lets go because she was with T-Mobile less than 5 years. Your direct manager will not know. She was made to leave office right there
Imagine complying with the forced vax, complying with the forced RTO, and still getting laid off.
In Atlanta/ETS
He or she will lose access to everything by 5pm est today. We work together for a few years and hurts to see it go this way.
5 weeks to sit and wait around is the sh-t part of the equation... To make people just wait in hopes they leave so you don't have to pay out the severance package is actually insane very New T-Mobile.
Or record lows. Alot of people i know are already just punching the clock and doing bare minimums.
I can see September being a record month of productivity for T-Mobile employees

"My coworker just told me she was let go and was told to keep quiet as soon as the letter drop"
Any org/office details can mention?
Smoking them in 15 minute increments…not good. If you have something scheduled with leadership today - good luck

Financial tricks related to the merger end this year so it is no surprise of big cuts now. TMO always strives to max the financial benefit.
Read my lips: No more layoffs.
But all you people do is complain, so quit! Or STFU.
Mike Sievert sent that email. Don't forget he's nothing more than a salesman trying to sell you some comfort. He's liar. Believe nothing he says until it materializes. Only then can parts of what he says can be true and watch how he says things... They don't envision making additional large-scale reductions. What that means is that there will be more "smaller" reductions and could be more large-scale reductions because things change. So he basically said nothing different than what we already know... He's a con man.
Theyve started notifying pepple already this morning.
A quick Google search indicates Bellevue HQ has a little over 6k employees and OP has about 5k. This layoff is the equivalent of getting rid of one of the HQs. That's very significant.
Yea but also in the next paragraph it states "at the same time we'll also be decreasing out reliance and spend on external workers and resources"
This means contactors/consultants. So the overall will be more than 5k.
All of the above.
