Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What do the rto reports look like?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to drop off kids work 8 and pick them up. With no notice this is ridiculous. So I think my option one day a week is to drop them off and then head back into the office in the evening and sit there. So do the reports just so first in. And last out? Do they calculate gaps? And don’t play the curse on you because you have kids or pre-Covid . This was never a problem before because I always get my work done, work late if needed and am an adult.

I don’t think these reports are that accurate. Remember we had a coworker die in the office- RIP- and no one notice until the following week.

The hours are being tracked by senior management (your immediate manager can't see it though). My co-workers and I got written up last week for not being in the office for at least 7 hours. It is real and we are all being tracked. Like it or not.

@cs

Oh for sure, because Harris was definitely going to fully support WFH. Absolutely a day-one priority for her.

Where is the guidance or reference to policy about eight hours I think this is nonsense.

All you people who love Trump got what you deserve. Wells is just following the federal government

Yeah, well, I'm tired of cucks that are cheerleading failed dishonest leadership and their attrition schemes. This company used to empower their people. Now they treat people they pay $150-200k like they are elementary school kids. I'm surprised they don't have us latch in to those "walking safety ropes" while in the office. We should be getting important things done and really innovating, instead we're sitting in our cars a few hours a day and we have to wait for OC approvals to wipe our a$$es. It's a joke.

You think they want us in the office or care about collaboration? They don't. They want us gone. 0 hours per day, 0 days a week, forever. That's the requirements for displaced people, and they can't wait to get rid of you, me, and everyone else here. These policies exist for one reason, and one reason only, to reduce severance costs by motivating voluntary attrition. FHY.

@b8 Telling team members they have to find daycare or a nanny on short notice (effective immediately) is absolutely insane.

The pandemic and WFH were great in many ways for work life balance, but it caused so many daycare facilities to close down. It’s to the point where you can’t just get your kids into a daycare the next day. There are weeks-months long waitlists for even the most basic daycare in my area. I don’t even have kids and I know this.

The idea of hiring a nanny is completely laughable, do you know how expensive that is? Even more expensive than daycare.

WF dropped this bo-b on people and gave them no time at all to plan. I hope there’s a class action suit

@ax I’m in tech and it’s being tracked. A teammate got written up this week for not being in office for 8 hours.

Wells Fargo has only been hybrid since the pandemic. How do you think employees picked up and dropped off their kids prior to being hybrid for 30 years. Simply find a daycare that closes around 6pm-630pm or hire a nanny to pick them up. Or quit and find another job. It’s not Wells Fargo’s responsibility to manage your options when you have them. I’m so sick and tired of post like this. It’s not Wells Fargo’s problem .

Man the last poster must be on here non stop - give it a rest. Not everyone or maybe no one has gotten this 8 hour nonsense. Why would anyone adhere if reporting can’t track it.

The distributed RTO report DOES NOT SHOW HOURS!!!! Will this change in the future, no doubt. Unless told otherwise 8 hrs is 8 hrs. Doesn’t matter how you get it. If you swiped in at 8am, took off from 3-6, then swiped back in at 6-7 that is 8 hrs. The caveat is your manager and line of business. No way that would be Kosher for Customer Service rep who has defined hours of 8-5 with a 1 hr lunch break (or convert for whatever your state and local laws require).

HR and Sr Leadership don’t care how you get the 8, just that it’s hit. The subtleties are defined by your manager and their leaders.

Funny how asking about working 8 hours in office is seen a gaming the reports. The OP asked if there is a tally for a gap - like taking a lunch break and then coming back. Did the OP every say he came in at 9 and left at 2? Sounds like some people are projecting. Reading comprehension if not too good on this board. I think his question is can he leave at 3 for a lunch break and come back at 4 or something like that.

It’s 8 per day there’s no carry over you can’t work 10 then 6 etc.. this is why this happens everyone looks for ways to game the system.

@a8 This is a one size fits all requirement imposed on managers. Who get in trouble if their people do not comply.

Not to be harsh You need to not worry how to game the reports (because that’s what your asking) but rather find daycare or someone to pick up the kids now. This is the new reality.

Pretty clear 8 hours is the expectation. The kid drop off thing won’t be an excuse any longer to arrive at 9 and cut out at 2.

Seems like you could maybe discuss this with your manager and find a solution.
