Relocation survey for HBAs?

Apparently a “relocation survey” is going out tomorrow to HBAs, to gauge their interest in moving to STL. Another ER push?

@1hd They like to drop the worst news either right after labor day or right around christmas. If not enough peeps quit after RTO june model, ELT will make a move around christmas to demand everyone be in office one way or another, 5 days a week, by end of 2027. They will give people a year to look for other jobs and stew over it. By 2028 (penny's last year) all bets are off. That is when she really lays the ground work for her "legacy" and will begin to pass the baton off to DC or some other nutjob whose sole purpose will be to usher in the "new chapter" of EDJ going public. PP thinks her legacy will be bringing EDJ into the big wall street inner circle, but really it will be the final nail in the coffin. She will dance over the ashes of what she burnt to the ground.

@1hd The year following a minor decrease or a flat/not big enough raise for ELT. They deserve huge distributions and YoY increases - they work so very hard after all.

What's the prediction for when they'll demand HBAs to relocate or accept a package?

@132 "would you like to relocate this year, next year, or 2028? Would you like to move to tempe or st louis? Or, "you wont be moving at all.". I think it's pretty clear what penny and goons have planned next.

@OP can someone who received it post some of the questions asked? Sounds like ELT trying to forecast how many will quit but am local to HQ and didn’t get the survey / don’t know for sure

What is this cr-p where we have to pick a year to relocate or not at all? Anyone with room temp IQ should pick 2028 just to buy some time. If you pick "not at all" you're for sure going up on the chop block. It won't matter anyway though, ELT already their date and deadline picked out. This is just part of their psychotic malicious mind games they get off on. ELT = SC-M

@zf You relocate thinking it will save you, then 6 months later you are training your indian replacement or outright laid off because DC needs the magic number to look better on paper. ELT thinks this is funny and ammusing to them now. These people are off their rockers and not mentally stable.

I can't imagine how anyone with in the right state of mind volunteer to relocate.

@za this company is complete trash. They literally stood on stage and lied to us about remote work not being impacted because we value talent from around the country. These people have lost it!

@za Did the email mention anything about compensating you for the move as moving expenses or a rate increase? It seems like a pretty bad deal otherwise.

Just got it. What a joke! St Louis is fine if you have a reason to be there like family. But the idea that I would give up my rich and enjoyable life to contribute to a "collaborative" environment where they cant even provide enough desks for anyone. Lmao!!

@w2 Did you find a different job, or just retiring? If you are working somewhere else, how long did it take to land a new position? I feel like this existing job market is a struggle to get a human to just look at the resume, much less land an interview. You almost need to have an inside connection.

Did the survey already go out? I’m remote and haven’t received a survey.

@w0 , I'm counting down my last days! I'm so excited to be moving on and not listen to the lying "noise." It's really taken a toll on my health. Best decision I've made this year! The higher being will guide me to my next adventure.

I'm exhaling soon in jubilation!

@vc No clue, but I can only imagine that the people in PP inner clique will not be impacted by any future decisions to force HBAs to relocate. That is the next "sc--w you" move that ELT will pull if not enough of us quit by labor day. It will be 5 days in office, no more remote work, 8hrs a day a-s to desk, scheduled lunch breaks and zero flexibility on your start time. Every horrible policy you can think of will be ushered into this place so we can hit the magic number of head count before going public.

Was this survey sent to remote Directors and GPS as well? Or was it sent only to Grades 9 to 13?

@k6 K’ston is like Ellen. Bubbly and fun in public but total snake behind closed doors. I’ve seen it firsthand. Her and HC pals are terrible people, seriously among the meanest and least “inclusive” at the firm - kid you not. Worst thing is how well they think of themselves. Never trust them.

If I was a female, I would be insulted at how this "mean girls" clique has conducted themselves. I include DC in this group as well since he is a "try hard" beeeyotch.

This has the smell of Dolan all over it with a wiff of her lacky Kingston. Only these two would be stupid enough to launch a “survey” on relocation, knowing the anguish and worry it would unleash…

This “reimagine” band needs to be disbanded. NOW. Who the he-l leads transformation and change this way!?

@f2 I knew that there was a plan in the works to go public when penny changed the rules to make it 50% or higher vote to go public or merge. 5 seconds after she said we would never go public. These people lie and gaslight us for sport. I'm assuming they will use the line of "we have to go public or else we won't survive the next 100 yrs". I just wonder what that looks like for all LP and their investments?

@gr imagine relocating just to get laid off later (possible). Only relocate if you think other good opportunities are in a HQ location where you want to live.

@f8 If the millionaire GPs aren't moving to St. Louis. Why would grade levels 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13 consider it? It makes no sense.

Relocate to stl or stay in a major us city where every other major bank, investment firm, etc have a corporate office. Wow thats such a tough choice for me

The rate at which PP and ELT are sinking this (once beloved — at least to a lot of us 20+ years of service folks) firm that was a cornerstone of St. Louis for over 100 years is truly disgusting. I’m sure JW had to sign an NDA upon MP retirement, but of what I would give to have just 15 mins in a room with him again once this firm (and it will) goes public. If I disclose too much, it may become obvious that hat my position is currently and (Hey Penny and team — hope y’all have the most blessed and fantastic weekend while you, Penny, sit in your mansion pouring $1K bottles of wine like it’s Kool-Aid (oh the irony of using that term🤦‍♀️🤣) and pick out your THOUSANDS of dollars worth of flowers and decorations for your “secret garden” at HQ (you can’t even make this stuff up) while your exterior design

Yep. Amplify just sent it out. Levels 9 and above. Don't worry though, it's just for future "decision making". They promise nothing sinister will be done with this totally anonymous survey. /s

If it's anything like some of the competitors and banks, they are already laid off they just don't know it yet

@c2 Right, don't believe anything they say about not selling, going public, merging, etc.

Tell me, how would that benefit them to tell the truth in advance of doing so? It would cause more stress, attrition, etc., and more importantly to them hurt THEIR bottom line when they're trying so hard to make the books look better.

Stronger bottom line = more money for them when they cash out.

What? At the last townhall that penny dipped out of, one of the stooges on stage said during the q&a that HBA around the country would not be going away because we love having a large talent pool to pull from. Oh wait, ELT lies about everything. Remember this boys and girls for the next time they tell you there is no plan to go public or scrap the LP.

I can save them a lot of time and energy on this stupid survey.

Less than 5%. Less than 5% of HBA employees will have any interest in re-locating to St. Louis and coming into the office 4 days a week. No relocation package is worth the added cost of moving, commuting, wear and tear on the car, and less time with family (due to moving away from them or the commute).

You might get a couple of younger try-hards that think being their in person might accelerate their career, but it will be few and far between.

What a pointless survey.

To me, this reads like a nudge to get people considering the door. 'power of face-to-face partnership' or whatever the line is—but it doesn't land when 60% of HO is remote. If anyone thought they were immune to this, they weren't paying attention.
