Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I wish it was me

I'm honestly low-key sad I wasn't laid off. I don't relish not having a job, but I look forward even less to staying here and having to deal with this company's cr-p and more never-ending cuts. I swear, layoffs sound like a better option. At least I'd have severance and a decent chance at a better job.

@f2 Right. So your justification for staying at a job you hate is to get severance? Makes total sense! Take some accountability over your life lmao.

@er I'll tell you why - 2 weeks per year severance. That's why.

So instead of actively looking for something else you’re going to wallow in your self pity HOPING the company does it for you… Why? So you can victimize yourself and say it was them all along?

My lord you guys are UNREAL.

You say you wish it were you until it is you then you have to face the real feelings of the unknown. A 20 year career ripped from you for absolutely nothing while others around you that don’t have the skill set or productivity you have stay, or those that were begging for a VRP stay, meanwhile I didn’t want to lose my job and it was a complete shock and it’s a scary reality! So be careful what you wish for!

Golden child gone??
Uhhhh NO. Not by a long shot. As of this post anyway. So sad. 2005 PBG was awesome. At least we have the memories. While that wont pay the bills at the very least we have that. As for layoffs its been quiet here the last 2 Mondays. Not sure what the future holds but Ive been lookin at other prospects. No one is untouchable thats so true. Ive seen it posted here alot lately. If youve been with the company 20+ years youve seen changes as I have. Good Luck everyone.

Interviewing and finding another job takes work, so get cracking.

It’s much better to look while employed.

Own your future and don’t leave it up to the whims of this company.

Dad rant over.
