Remote worker here.
I log on around 10am, browse reddit until noonish when I send out the daily quotes and ask SalesBleh to ask me 5 random questions instead of the other way around. At 1 I go for my 90 minute jog/walk, and at 2:30 I check for anything else to do. As there's usually not, I'm showered by 3 and have a blunt rolled and lit by 3:15. By 3:45 I'm playing Satisfactory.
Please just fire me already. I've been doing this for 4 years now. I want that severance and a vacation.

@h6 You're putting in about 6 too many hours a day my friend. Layoffs will continue until folks like you cut it out with that cr-p, or until every last one of us is working those psychotic hours. I for one am not going to do it
@ev Wouldn’t be much of a change since HR is all links and toll free numbers outsourced to people who don’t understand the rules of what they are supposed to manage.

Let’s see. Online, meetings from 6:30am to 8am. 8am to 9am getting ready. 9-10am commute. 10-4:00/4:30pm in office. 4-5pm commute. 5pm log back on. 7pm close laptop.
My team is global.
So leaving early? No.
HR should be replaced by AI.
idk about other groups/orgs but we all head out around 11:30am to go OUT to lunch, then head home so we can actually get work done.
Empties out by Noon more often than not. 1-1:30 at the latest and 99% of my group is gone, along with the building LOL

I make sure my morning trouser blaster is done on company time and TP on company dime. Time on throne will be proportional to cost per gallon of petrol.
Meta is now using AI across the board to monitor employees. You can't opt out of it. Companies are really going for the AI thing. More people being let go.
HR will be fed by AI data. SMH.

And just how are yoi watching us when the nearest HR person is 2 time zones away. I arrive at the office at 5 AM, get a ton of work done as no one else is around to bother me. Whe my coworkers start trickling in around 8:30-9:00, I go home so I can maintain that level of productivity. It's literally the only way for me to not fall behind.
HR here. We are watching all of you. Lying in wait to strike. Don't get too comfortable because we need to sacrifice for the good of the company. Please deduct 1 min from your time card for reading this. MAXIMUM PRODUCTIVITY MAXIMUM EFFORT.
Everyone’s heading out earlier with the RTO push ironically, overall productivity is down, yet Dell still manages to post strong results to Wall Street.
In my group, it's the Indian woman. In by 9:00 am, out by 2:00pm...everyday. Some with an on-site status don't even both to show up. This is in engineering....if my first sentence did not give it away.
